See item in Second LifeIt works for a full object only
Related to the other review i was tryng it as i need to put transparency just in one face of my mesh, but as i'm not the owner of the mesh and script only work inside the root prim-it will change the face of my root prim not the mesh object:)
Other way if you are looking to show transparency in a full mesh object it works ok.
Great product, poor instructions for non-scripters
I am not a scripter. After staring at the two scripts for about 15 minutes, and referencing my other HUD scripts for another 5-10, I figured it out.
1. In this script, the "channel" is set as "911" so, if you look for and change that number in both scripts, you are customizing the channel the scripts communicate to each other on.
2. In this script pair, only the "receiver" script has the lines to change for what specific face to make transparent. As it is written, "ALL_SIDES" is the script-term you're looking for, and you replace it with the number of the face you're changing, no space after that comma! (HINT: Look directly below the tabs in the edit window when you "select face" and choose the proper face, it literally says "Face: 2" or whatever number.)
With this information and these scripts, I think this is an awesome buy.
Minus one star for me having to figure that out to get it to work on a single face and not the whole prim/linkset. (see above)
No recomendable!
Gracias
Terrible customer service
Like another review, I contacted the creator to ask a question, since the directions of how to use it are very vague. Never have heard back despite having sent numerous request.
