More than just enabling you to rename yourself, the nomRenamer goes a step farther - Giving you, or someone you allow - to ENFORCE that new name, preventing you from using your old!
Designed with the use of RLV intended, yet still works perfectly without, it is additionally one of the few renamers on the market that both heeds regular RLV chat-restrictions, and smoothly disables itself when it detects other chat redirections in use.
That is,
- When your chat is prevented by regular RLV means (Any 'white text' would come out as "..."), the nomRenamer will properly heed the mute and prevent you from speaking as opposed to blithely ignoring it, and
- When another chat redirection is in use, eg, an auto-garbling gag, the renamer will turn itself off to prevent "doublespeak" - two lines of chat, one regular (renamer) and one garbled (gag) emitting at the same time.
Check the SLURL to try the Demo set up at our store, or drop a line if you'd like more information.
(The store is in an Adult sim, though the product itself isn't adult - we're currently searching for another location to set up in for non-verified avatars. Drop a line also if you'd like a demo and can't visit the store.)
(Permissions: Whilst the scripts are no-mod, the object - being essentially just a 'container' for them - is, and the scripts should behave properly if moved to another object to save on HUD space.)
Ver el artículo en Second Life- Renames you! And then, enforces that renaming!
- Supports RLV, and all that usual fun stuff
- Politely handles gags and other chat redirects, preventing "doublespeak"
- Persistent Owner setting, along with Open (public) Access
- Mute-able, including both muting regular chat, ALONG with chat within emotes!
Wonderful Avatar Addition!
There is more to this than what you see. Ability to make pronouns as you wish. How owner is to be named and more. With the supporting notecard it helped a lot and "Is" needed due to the possibilities available with this renamer. Took some effort and reading of instructions over again to work out how too but managed it in the end. No fault of Notecard, just needs, Really Reading it.
Even gifting it to a friend now!
What I was searching for.
I'm a roleplayer, and I was searching for a titler that automatically makes me speak as my character, since I have quite a few. And when you activate RLV, it exactly does it. And /me works too !
So five stars for me.
