tugboat Danube v1.3d Version 1.3d

This is the tugboat Danube, modelled after a real tugboat from the Danube river in Austria, in the 1910s. It was widely used on the Danube and its tributaries, on the Balaton lake, or on the Rhine.

It is a steamer and thus rather versatile in 19th and 20th century and steampunk settings. I can even imagine it sailing the Mississipi river in the 1890s, or Africa in the 1950s.

RL steamships have been in use rather long, some even got Diesel engines installed in the 1960s.

The boat script is made especially for boats of this size and performance, its steering is very realistic and smooth. It is not a race boat, it is a working boat used in sailing competitions, by a harbour master, or for day cruises on quiet days in the sea.

There are some special effects:
The rudder and the steering wheel move, and the engine telegraph works for real, the feedback from the engineers a bit delayed.

The smoke stack comes down, and tilts back to enable the boat to chug along under low bridges, and can be raised again.

The flag waves in the wind, it is really moved and flaps by a script that takes the sim wind and the boats speed into regard.

The boat features a running light in the bow, that can be controlled by the owner with chat commands or touch.

smoke billows out from the chimney, the boilers start working when the owner sits, in addition the particle smoke can be controlled with chat commands.

Additional customizing can be done on the flag, fly your own colors, and the signboard on the boats sides, by dropping a respective texture into the build. or by editing the textures, just as you like.

The number of the boat can be changed by chat command, to any three digit number that you like.

The boat comes in a box that is shaped like the boat itself, that is usable as a display on a desk or sideboard, and in addition to the working, drivable boat you get a display, with a single small script in it to do the flag and the light.

you can take four friends, they have predefined positions in the hatch, on the decks house, in the bow and astern, with some rather relaxed and custom made poses. Only the owner can control the ship, regardless of their position.

The boat comes with modify and copy permissions. the scripts and animations are copy only.

note: this new updated version adds automatic positioning of the avatar depending on their height. This applies to the two standing positions only, at the wheel, and leaning at the beam in the stern.
