Ballinger's Flavian Palace
Ballinger's Flavian Palace is built as a recreation of part of the palace of the Caesars of Rome, using the floor plan of the main reception rooms of the Domus Flavia. The main three rooms of the palace were the Aulus Regis [throne room] in which Caesar held receptions and met with high foreign dignitaries; the Basilica, from which he dispensed justice; and the Lararium, the temple for the family gods. Behind these is the vast Peristyle garden, with its vast fountain, and from which other rooms radiate, most notably the huge
Triclinium [dining room]. In addition to this are the fantastic Baths, Library, Study, 2 Suites for the Imperial Family, 3 Guest Rooms, the huge Imperial Suite with its private Loggia, plus the large Kitchen and Staff Rooms.
