Have you ever been a sexy robot fighting on behalf of a shady space government against robots named after famous smart dudes?

If so, you probably wished you had a floating robot pod full of guns to help shoot bad things for you.

Now you've got everything you need, with the floaty combat pod thing, equipped with a trio of powerful weapons to reduce lovable trash robots to scrap.

The laser cannon can be activated with /1draw, reloaded with /1reload, and deactivated with /1sling.

The rotary cannon can be activated with /1draw2, reloaded with /1reload, and deactivated with /1sling2.

The rocket pod can be activated with /1draw3, reloaded with /1reload, and deactivated with /1sling3.

Nice but needs some work

So, the mesh and texture work is excellent, materials enabled and detailed. The scripting for it is pretty lacklustre, though. As the previous reviewer states, the weapons don't actually deploy as shown in the images. This is because the alpha swap scripts in there all use llSetAlpha on LINK_SET. Fortunately, the scripts are all modify, so going through them all and changing the alpha functions to llSetLinkAlpha(LINK_THIS, 1.0, ALL_SIDES); (or LINK_THIS, 0.0, ALL_SIDES) fixes them and makes the weapons deploy as expected.

The real problem, though, is that this thing is, in fact, four attachments (the pod, and all three weapons, are seperate). The weapons aren't attached to the pod, which is why it doesn't float around or bob about. Scripting for the weapons is also pretty basic, which is why some of the commands don't work. Pretty sure that, with a bit of effort, the weapons could be linked to the pod and re-worked to make them functional, or you can simply not bother with them, add a script to the root prim of the pod to make it bob around and just use it as a RP prop.

Honestly, the best thing about it is that it's fully modify, scripts and all, and has all the parts needed as a basis to work from. Think of it as a kit to build upon for your needs and the product starts to shine. Expect it to work out of the box? Nope.

It's A Good Idea, But....

It doesn't work right. I have everything attached that's in the folder. I used the commands as described in the description. But it does not look like the picture when you equip the weapons. Only red lines appear, the weapons do not change positions at all.

I wish there was a notecard for the commands or instructions, but there isn't. However, there is a help command you can type in as a slash command. The problem is that half of those commands it lists do not work.

Also, I wish this pod had a floating script so it wasn't just sitting there like a dud. But despite that I really like this idea and I wish it worked correctly. The pod does fire the weapons from mouselook, but I also wish that I could fire them from 3rd person view too. I guess you get what you pay for, and maybe my expectations are too high for a product that only costs L$100. But there are soooo few options for Nier Automata RP on SL so it would be nice if this worked right.
