This is a "card counter" and assistance tool for playing the popular fencing game, with extra features besides counting cards.
It works with both HaxWorx and older pistes.
both a HUD and a rez version are included. The rez version will automatically move and rotate itself in position if rezzed on a piste's center tile, once, after which you can manually move it as desired.
The HUD version is made without the use of mesh because meshes in HUDs have problems in some viewers.
The advanced counter has extra features over the basic counter, and is specifically made for players who are familiar with similar advanced counters.
Opinions can differ on the use of a card counter. In Second Life, it's widely done and accepted, but some may oppose it. If unsure, it would be a good idea to say you are using a counter.
If you wear or rez or reset the counter while a round is already ongoing, any moves played earlier are not included in the displayed count, so the count can be off.
The counter does not work if the piste's "chat" (saying moves) is disabled.

description of advanced counter features:
CARD COUNTER:
Shows which cards were played in this round so you don't have to memorize it
LAST SECOND ATTACK REMINDER:
The counter reminds you to prepare for the Last Second Attack by changing color and playing sounds.
6 remaining: yellow.
2 remaining: orange.
1 remaining: red.
0 remaining: blue.
The counter is mod perm, and the sound effects are in the object. You can delete a sound to stop it, or replace them with your own sounds if you name them the same.
The sound volume (including off) is settable through the menu.
"TRUE" REMAINING:
The "remaining" count shown in the game HUD and on the game's scoreboard is the number of cards remaining on the deck. After a parry, the player's cards are not immediately refilled, therefore the "remaining" count does not decrease (because no cards are taken from the deck at this time).
But some players like to see a remaining count based on cards played, which does decrease when a parry happens. This is the "true" remaining count in the Advanced counter.
PARRY INDICATOR:
After an Advance + Lunge Parry move, a red "P" is displayed on the bottom left corner.
3 MINUTES TIMEOUT REMINDER:
If one player stands up during the game (or crashes), the counter reminds you 30 and 15 seconds before the 3 minute timeout expires, so you can stand up, to avoid winning the game by default.
