This Larsson Hospital Wheelchair was designed as an essential item for medical roleplay specialists who maintain clinics and hospitals. This is new item with first release on Feb 1, 2023.

Patient sits in chair while nurse, caregiver or physician takes control of wheelchair to walk them to examination rooms, ward rooms, operating rooms, or diagnostic locations such as MRI or X-ray facilities.

This wheelchair operates via a vehicle script so you must have rez rights where you use it. It can be easily set to owner only or group use. The chair even reminds owner where to look for their group lists to be sure this is done quickly and accurately. This is not a wearable product and it is not made for "club excursions" unless of course you happen to own the club.

This wheelchair moves anywhere in SL vehicles can move. There are three animations for resident who moves chair and three for patient who sits in chair.

When you "sit" to push the animation is a stationary pose holding push bar. When you move the chair animation automatically changes to very realistic walk animation as your hands hold push bar and you walk behind it moving and steering wheelchair. A third animation allows you to step near front of chair to assist patient in sitting or standing or to generally see about their welfare.

When patient sits in chair the first animation is "Patient Sit" which is a formal forward looking sit with hands to side and no movement Patient can touch chair anytime to select second and third poses. Second is looped "Fidget Sit" with hands holding wheel chair, looking around and then reaching with left hand as to brush something off leg. Third is looped "Relaxed Sit" with patient looking around and playfully moving feet (good news.... clearly not paralyzed).

Although I didn't design this as an "outside experience" you can take patients on extended walks on mainland roads easily crossing region borders.

Use motion control arrows on your viewer or your keyboard direction arrows to move in direction you wish. As you move you will see standing animation switch to walking as you hold onto the cart and you then walk forward guide it in direction you choose.

There are three walking speeds and you select them using either jump up/down arrows on your viewer motion control or use page up/down keys on your keyboard. You will see a chat message confirming your walk speed.

I made wheelchair to a reasonable SL scale. Should you need to resize touch left side wheel and you will see rescale dialog menu appear in upper right of your viewer screen. AVsitter menu also appears when you sit so you can adjust your hand position on push bar if needed. Both standing and pushing animations match up perfectly in terms of hand position. Patient can also adjust position same way.

The little front castor wheels are small and so I did not script them to rotate but they do swivel in proper direction as you turn chair direction.

Wheel chair is my mesh construction, however with all the tubes and spokes mesh does have a total land weight of 31. Physics have been adjusted so chair easily works as desired with patient and caregiver on it.

Just for fun, I scripted it with a mesh patient. Key the word "show' or "hide" in chat or /2 private chat to control visibility of this feature.

The colorization follows typical appearance of wheelchairs. If you have a particular color scheme or logo for your clinic just let me know. I would be happy to do that for you.

Enjoy this hospital wheelchair and the realism it can add to your medical roleplay, stay safe, and thank you!
