Rose Cottage Winter&Summer,59 prims, partly mesh

Bought this cottage to decorate for Christmas. It's lovely but has a couple glitches. The Winter version has a phantom board at the second floor landing in the spiral staircase that drops you back to the first floor. Had to make an invisible board to step on to make it usable, as turning phantom off messes up the whole house. Also has a weird glitch where you can't put plants anywhere near a window, as they show thru the plant. Really odd. So, no Christmas tree except in corners, which there aren't many.

I first reviewed and gave 4 stars. Due to a script error with the dove rezzer. the creator quickly got back to me and fixed the issue. Friendly and wonderful creator. now i could not be happier with my new home...

I'm going to compare and contrast this building with the basically-matching "Prim Wonder: 49 prim Timber Manor, partly mesh". (See their store for more matching buildings.)

First, this "Cottage" will NOT fit on the length of a normal 512-sqm lot -- don't expect to squeeze it into one end of a lot without both the exterior roses and the roof's filigree hanging over.

ALWAYS move the Rez Box to adjust the location. Be SURE you always have a Rez Box in Inventory.

The first floor rooms are a very nice size! The second floor's loft is a also decent size. The tower room is NOT a full-circle floor (the stairs steal space -- a "teleporter door", as in the "Timber Manor", might have helped here).

I really liked the bedroom's very-nice front balcony (with doves).

The exterior appearance is a Major Marvel -- simply fascinating! And the interior looks very authentic (you supply the fireplaces). (You do get BOTH summer & winter buildings -- separately).

I just bought both this and the "Timber Manor", and am in the process of fitting them both onto a 2048-sqm lot. They look great together, and I haven't even laid out the well, etc., yet!

NOTE: If you need a decently-matching low wall to go around these buildings, I recommend "Ivy Covered Tan Brick Privacy Screen Wall Panel, Tileable Ivy overgrown Stone wall For Builders, Mauer, Hedge 7103" which comes in one infinitely-copyable section.

There is absolutely no better deal or more elegant cottage on SL. I searched through the marketplace and in world. This cottage is so perfectly constructed and textured. I did however, have one small problem when rezzing this. When I used the rez box to turn it around, the front door didn't turn around. You can't just move the door on its own, as it's also attached to the front foyer. So I had to find another door to put in that space. Other than that, this cottage is absolutely perfect in size and space. Awesome work!
