Introduction to the SySco system
==========================
The SySco System is an integrated house builders system which allows you to control any SySco device centrally via the controller or individually at the device itself.
The SySco Central Controller stores the user list and certain global options centrally and transmits them to the installed devices (doors, windows etc). This saves you the inconvenience of maintaining user lists within each device.
All SySco devices may be controlled from the Central controller using the unique touch sensitive SySco menu system.
All SySco devices may be operated individually by clicking on them, eg to open and close the device. The blue menu for the Security Orb allows you to start and stop security scanning or to hide (or show) the device.
Each component of the system is full perm and is designed for personal use or builders resale. You are not permitted to sell these devices separately.
The SySco System works by defining a Device Channel and defined device names. All components in any system must be configured with the same Device Channel and each device must be called Orb 1, Orb 2, etc up to Orb 7 (in the device notecard). The actual values are documented in the config notecard for each device.
You may operate several SySco systems in close proximity simply by assigning a different channel number to each system. Channel numbers range from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647.
All SySco devices have a multitude of options, which are all fully documented in the configuration notecards that come with each device.
The Security Orb keeps unwanted visitors out of your property.
The Security Orb works on Volumetric Control. Any sensor device scans a sphere of a defined radius, so at ground level, you are effectively scanning a circle. This may not be what you want, because your parcel may be square, and in order to cover the corners of your parcel, you would also need to scan a part of your neighbours parcel.
Volumetric control allows you to scan exactly along your parcel edges. For example, if your parcel was 64x64 metres and you put your security orb in the very centre, you would need to set the scan distance to around 40m to reach the corners. (Which then scans 8m of your neighbours land)
To use Volumetric Control, you would set +X, -X, +Y and -Y all to 32 m. Then even if scan distance was set to 90 m, only avatars exactly within your parcel would be scanned and considered for ejection.
So summarising the concept of Volumetric Control. The Orb will scan a sphere of whatever distance you configure. You then configure a *security* box shape within that sphere. Only avatars within the security box will be considered for ejection.
Please note that ejecting avatars is only possible if you or your group owns the land.
