This tool is a classic resizer but with additional hints on how LI work on your build.
It helps to do in few menu clicks what could take many size adjustments in Edit mode.
The mesh resizer is ideal for mesh builders before packing a product, and also for all users who want to reduce their prim count on modifiable objects.
The script [Kool - Mesh resizer] will automatically find the optimal size for your mesh builds while keeping the LI cost under control (Land Impact, or Prim Equivalence). No more tedious trials to resize your build in hope it doesn't make jump the LI !
If you are new to mesh, this script helps you to understand how LI cost is calculated and how you can reduce it. A message tells if it's the Download, the Physic or the Server cost which makes the highest cost.
A notecard with useful hints and links is included. Note: this resizer is efficient only in mesh objects, objects made of classic prims have a constant LI whatever their size.
Easy to use:
➊ Drop this single script in your final build root prim, once all is linked, textured, scripted, etc.
➋ Click the [BEST...] buttons of the menu to find the optimal size for the current LI, or for an inferior or superior LI. (You can also use the manual resize with % buttons.)
➌ When you are satisfied of the resized build, click [✖ DEL script] to remove this script: your build is ready for packing !
