~ TBF Chess Game Instructions ~
Before starting a game, click the side of the table to get a setup menu for the chess game. You can set the chess piece colors and the time-out time.
Click on the chess board to start as Player 1. Clicking on a chess piece will lift it up. Clicking on a destination will move the hovering chess piece to that position. Clicking it again will trigger validation of the move. If the move is valid, the piece will be put down on the new position. If it is not valid, the piece will snap back to its original position. Another move has to be made. After the first move, clicking on the chess board will identify Player 2. This can be the same person as Player 1, but need not be.
Clicking a chess piece from a low viewing angle (more or less from side-view) may result in selection of the wrong chess piece. The wrong piece can simply be put down by clicking on it again. Try clicking a chess piece from a higher viewing angle instead.
The chess board contains many invisible pieces that may be in the way when trying to select a piece. Press control-alt-t to highlight transparency, to get an idea how the invisible pieces are positioned on the board and how to circumvent them in your attempt to select the correct piece. The presence of invisible pieces on the board is a requirement (ironically) in order to keep the land impact of the chess game low (Land Impact = 6).
During a game, clicking the side of the table will bring up a menu with the options 'Undo' and 'Resign'.
