The SORTaMATIC is a storage system for your excess Second Life inventory that helps keep it under control, providing you with a sensible and secure inworld backup and archive solution!
Placing items in the SORTaMATIC automatically sorts them into separate Drawers by their permissions, so that you can back-up your copyable and copy-transfer items easily and even send copy-transfer Drawers to other avatars for additional backup purposes.
The SORTaMATIC is equipped with several search methods to help you quickly find and retrieve your items when needed. Each SORTaMATIC can hold thousands of items (there's technically no limit) however you will get the most out of your purchase if you organise things neatly.
A new "Folders" feature exists so you can store items in your own categories (such as a collection of textures or an outfit).

Outstanding! One of the best products in SL.
This is an excellent Inventory Storage Solution for those people who need to keep backups of purchases, fresh copies of outfits, bodies, and more. This is NOT for new people, casual users, those who won’t take the time to learn and read. It is not! This is for long time and advanced users who tend to have a great many objects stored in their inventory.
For my purposes, I use a lot of them, not just one. The folder system is excellent, comes in very handy, and allows you to group objects by purpose (say, for Trees, another for Grass, Plants, Shoes, etc..) within a single SORTaMATIC. For people like me, I use a different one for types, like one SORTaMATIC for clothes, one for Houses, another for Trees, one for Rocks and Cliffs, Bushes and Plants, and so on.
There are many ways you can use this product, for different purposes, not simply for storage. Use it by putting things into it from your inventory to organize objects and boxes by type or category, then unpack and you will have new folder in your inventory with all the things you put into it. This is an excellent way to get your inventory under control.
Again, I must stress that this is not for the new or casual user. This does take time to learn to use it properly. You must be very careful with No Copy objects. For example, if you retrieve a No Copy object from the SORTaMATIC you cannot have yourself set to AWAY or UNAVAILABLE, or in any way disallow Inventory Offers. It will lose that object trying to deliver it. It will not return to the SORTaMATIC, or to your lost and found folder. You must not use it nonchalantly.
It is a wonderful product, recently updated, and fully supported by the creator. I have been using it for years and have not had any issue with it. Yes, I did make the mistake once having myself set “away” and lost a no copy folder trying to retrieve it, but that was my own fault. I learned my lesson the hard way and it never happened again.
I recommend the SORTaMATIC highly. :)
Loved it at first
I lost hundreds of items when I moved to a new property. All I did was pick it up and then rez it at new location. only had 75 items in it.
I'm Impressed.
I have searched and spent a lot of time and money on Inventory Backup. None of them were this great. I mean it sorts it for you. Allows you to make folders. If you are searching for a great inventory backup, look no further. It was well worth the price.
Finally a solution to Inventory Creep!
These really work. I even put a back up of the copy-able Sortamatic inside each of my sortamatic boxes, lol. The only drawback (for me) is that I would like to add a floating script so that I can tell which box is which without opening the menu. I added the script but the box deletes it.
