100+ stars amazing work!
Please, don't pay attention to the reviews that say there is no detail. We went into advanced lighting many years ago with mesh and "Material Enabled Textures"... Many do not realize what the advanced lighting model does and now people have no excuse or choice in the matter as we are now PBR. I use this texture and I also use it in a painting program. My items shimmer, sparkle and I add a few other touches which I won't disclose but they have made my clothing sales soar to levels that I never thought would be possible. This kit is worth 8x more than what you are charging and that is a small number. I do more in world sales but people always come to me and ask me to never stop doing my signature tricks and using sequins. I use your sequins but I have my tricks and things I have done to the maps you provide to make it pop even more. Please don't stop doing sparkle, sequins or iridescent textures. PS: Other gown makers and formal clothing designers use your sequins as their "go to" because it is so realistic. I would be honored to send you several items to see for yourself. You are amazing. Never stop :) You are loved in the fashion industry here in SL...
My Favorite Texture
We do a lot of stage work. Sparkle and shine with stage light colors enhancing the effects of the costumes we use this texture on is amazing. So many looks can be achieved with this texture and some trials with combinations of settings. Always complimented. Great creation.
very impressive
I am very pleased with this texture, I have used this on a prim as well- it is just a matter of adjusting the Glossiness and Environment in the shininess tab- LOVE IT
Exactly as advertised!
The clarity and shine of the sequins is awesome! It appears it is sparkling without the use of a script! Thank you!
There good
To see the effects of this you must enabled the material in yur graphics menu it looks pretty great when the effect is in use texture your outfit add bump map and the other one into your right boxes then you will see the effect its model lighting effects you won't see if you have not got it on it shines very nice and i have a dress with this on it and it glistens in the sun clever don't try if you don't no what you doing or you will be disappointed but for some that no what I am on about will and like them very much great job
not really useful
I purchased these textures ages ago and they are a well executed product in many ways, but after more than a year of *trying* to find some actual use for them, I cannot. So I thought I would leave this review as a warning to others.
The problem is that the seamless texture is a bit blah and there is no real variation in the brightness of the sequins as one would see on a garment covered with sequins in RL. Including the individual sequins is a good idea, but again there is almost no variation between the many individual sequins in terms or sparkle or brightness. Also, constructing your own texture ‘sequin by sequin’ is a next to impossible task when you consider that the NRMs and SPCs also have to align and also considering the sheer number of sequins employed on a single small garment.
Finally, there is really just something terribly ‘off’ about the NRMs of both the tiled sequins and the individual ones. I have never been able to apply these textures to any garment without it seeming that the sequins are actually *depressions* instead of raised areas no matter how much I fiddle with them (inverting etc.)
Overall this is a product that is a valiant attempt and good in theory, but not really practical or useful. I’ve yet to see any other clothing maker use these textures either.
