The windows are mesh and 3d, but are "faux windows".. There are no window openings in the walls, so if you prefer fewer or no windows, you can remove them without leaving a big ugly hole in the wall.
Yes, I could have used walls with holes, and you would have been able to make the windows transparent to see outside, but it would have nearly doubled the land impact. Also, if you are planning to do weddings or various other dressy events, you don't want a lot of transparent textures in the decor-- it clashes with all those pretty hair-dos and lacy dresses.
Remember, the building contains mesh, so resizing it can change land impact.
