In short, the Bright Finder will find and report on all the objects on a parcel of land. You can optionally filter the results by owner, or a search string to be found in object names. You don't even have to own the parcel - you can find items in your rental, your favourite sandbox, or wherever you happen to be - all you need to be able to do is rez the one prim search ball.
To search, just rez the ball, and click it to display a menu with three options. Optionally click [Owner Name] to specify whose objects to find, [Object Name] to specify a string to find in the objects' names, or [Normal/CSV] to select CSV format output, and then click [FIND!] to begin the search.
The ball will turn invisible, and disturb no one as it flies round searching. It will report progress as it goes, and send a message every time it finds an item, giving the items name, owner, land impact, and an SLURL link which will teleport you straight to the object. While it is searching, you don't have to wait - just get on with your day: you don't even have to stay in the same region, the messages will keep coming if you leave.
Most searches are completed within a few minutes, and at the end of the search, the ball will report the number of objects found, the total land impact, and then delete itself. But as the ball is copyable, you can rez another from your inventory whenever you need it.
There are a lot of search devices on Second Life, but most have a range of only 96m, and can find a 32 objects at most - because they make a single use of Second Life's scripting language search function, which can only see 96m and report 32 object names. The Bright Finder is a real search utility, and will search an entire parcel, from 0m to 4096m up in the sky - the entire space you can build in.

I was a bit skeptical, but it worked so well I bought two for the tenants who were helping me search for 67 'lost' prims; and plan to buy more for my Estate Managers. Thank you for building this!

I recently bought this to find a past tenants prims...I couldn't find for hours as I searched with the viewers built in finder...still nothing...So I turned loose Bright finder enter the owners name and within 2 min the finder found the prims!!! you can't go wrong with your purchase!!! 10 Stars!!!!!

I bought this item to use for my job as a Prim Finder for a RP. sim. Keeping unwanted prims off the sim. It was annoying (still is) trying to use search or about land tools. The item that is sold here is a GREAT PRODUCT! Sadly, just did not work for what I needed. But that was not the fault of the maker. She was awesome and came to our sim to work step by step trying to learn the issue. The issue was SL based on limitations set by them. Not the maker. I would suggest this product to anyone that needed it for parcels. Again, kudos Shan and thank you for the time you spent with me trying to find the issue.

I originally wrote a bad review because the device couldn't find some objects. However, they turned out to be "ghost" items caused by glitches in SL, rather than a fault with this device.
Just ensure you can see prim owners in land info before trying to search for owners of prims - again a limitation of SL, not this device.

ASTOUNDING. I was moving a building pad and I make jewelry, and as any builder of nano prims they get lost! I was looking at my object count on the land and I lost nearly 225 prims ... I figured I knew what it was when I elevated by BP, and this amazing product found it... then I used the slurl provided in chat, and there the cluster of nano prims was right there...my jaw just dropped. I searched and searched for an hour for the lost prims.. I can't tell you how happy I am with this product, if I could give it 10 stars I would. I didn't even have to read the directions to tell u the truth... I just typed in /4 and the item name I thought it was and clicked the ball and then START, and BOOM! That little ball just went on a tour of my entire parcel and found my prims! TY Shan Bright! This is hands down has been a savior for me.
