Hover Bike - "Turbo Jet" [13 prims]

The Turbo-Jet hoverbike is an innovative and exciting personal transport in the skies of Seconds Life. It uses the latest powerful, lag-free, antigravity technology and turbo jet thrust to transport you effortlessly through the atmosphere. There's glowing lights on the sides and a huge rotating turbo fan in the front and the faster you fly, the faster it spins. The pilot seat has menu-driven pose adjustments to accommodate different avatar shapes. You can learn to fly it in just a few seconds. It's materials-enabled so turn on your SL viewer's Advanced Lighting System and you'll see nearby lights dynamically reflected over its surfaces.

Features include
- Latest powerful lag-free anti-grav engine
- Adjustable pilot seat
- Auto-rotating turbo fan
- jet sounds, rear flame plume
- Fast and easy to fly
- Public version included so anyone can pilot it
- DNA-locked version for owner's use only

Flying the "Turbo-Jet" Hover Bike.
Touch the craft or right-click the pilot seat and select "pilot". Once you're seated, wait a second or two while you hear the powerful anti-grav engines kick in as you hover gently. Now, you can move by using the forward/backward arrow keys to adjust the speed, use the left/right turn arrow keys to steer, and use the PgUp and PgDn keys to climb and descend. Once you're moving, you'll see the thrust jet streaming from the rear as you fly. You can continue to fire the thrusters and move forward as long as you keep your finger on the forward arrow.

The turbofan at the front will begin to rotate as you start to move. The faster you go, the faster it will spin. It'll slow down and stop rotating when the vehicle comes to rest.

Hold the Ctrl key down as you use the left/right arrow keys to perform a sideways "crabbing" strafe movement. You can carry out some cool sideways-sliding moves once you've got the hang of it. You can also do an amazing "drift" when speeding across the surface.

Adjustable pilot seat pose
You can adjust the position of the pilot for whatever size avatar you use. Once you are seated, type "/1 menu" and an adjustment menu will appear, with buttons for nudging the pose up/down and forwards/backwards. Once it's adjusted for your avi, the hover bike will remember your settings the next time you get on. It will remember the positions for up to 32 different avatars and it automatically applies them whenever they use it.

Landing.
You can use the PageDown key to descend. Take it easy or you'll hit the floor and bounce back up. Once you have landed simply stand up and you'll hear the anti-grav engine cut out automatically. When parked, the vehicle will place itself into a slight hovering position.

Parking.
If you stand up while you’re still flying, the Hover Bike will turn off any forward motion and lock its vertical and geostationary position. So, you can park next to a high landing platform or the top of a docking column by hopping out of your pilot's seat when you're in position. It's then safe leave the vehicle.

Security.
The vehicle is DNA-locked, a security feature that allows only the owner to fly it. You won't have any worries of someone else jumping on and flying off with it after you've parked it.

Public Version Included.
We've included a public version that permits non-owners to operate this vehicle. The personal version has green front lights but the public version has blue ones. It behaves exactly like your personal one except anyone is permitted to fly it. The public version is set to de-rez when the pilot gets off. This is important because if you allow non-owners to operate your vehicles, they won't be able to move or delete your vehicle if it gets stuck.

These craft are all scaled perfectly for use with the Exosphere Modules such as the Landing Terminal, the Landing Dome and the Vehicle Bay.

Please contact Brenda Hoisin in Second Life if you have any problems with this Exosphere product.
