This items switches between different window coverings upon touch, such as between drapes, blinds, frosted window tint, or an open window (transparent window covering). In particular, the item provides curtains for individual windows with only a single prim for the window. Specifically, the curtains include a script to open and close the curtains for the window to which it has been applied. Click on the window after applying the prim and you are presented with a menu for five choices (the menu can be seen in the last picture):

(1) Open;
(2) Translucent;
(3) Blinds;
(4) Closed; and
(5) Frost

Open shows a clear transparent texture that appears to be invisible for completely open curtains (1st picture on sidebar). Translucent shows white semi-transparent curtains covering the window (2nd picture on sidebar).

Blinds shows the window covered with blinds (penultimate picture on sidebar). Closed shows green drapes covering the window (main picture). Frost displays a mostly transparent, white frosted texture (final image - click Zoom/View images). Hence, the item allows you to selectively switch between five different textures, green drapes, white translucent curtains, transparent, and a mostly transparent frosted tint.

In addition, the item is programmable. You may program it by dragging additional textures from your inventory into the item. After you have added your textures, the item will display those textures as additional choices on the menu. Just be sure to rename the additional textures to something short as menu entries are limited to a total of 24 characters for each entry. Further, only 22 entries in total are allowed on the menu.

You may prefer blinds that are dark brown. In this case, you could add a texture for dark brown blinds, rather than light brown. You may prefer white curtains that show a double pane, in which case you could the texture for double pane white curtains. For your convenience, complete texture packs are included with this item for each of the four themes for Linden Homes. These texture packs are provided for free by Linden Labs at the infohubs for each of the four themes. Accordingly, you may program your item to include many high quality textures from Linden Labs to match your home or workplace decor.

Two copes of the item are provided. The first copy of the item is operable by anyone that clicks on the item (useful if you have guests for which you would like to provide window control). The second copy of the item is operable only by the owner (useful for greater privacy and security).

The prim in this item may be modified and copied. Only the script in the prim may be not be modified, but may be copied and the prim re-sized and rotated as you wish and copied to fit windows of different sizes.
