Starry Night Switcher

This item switches between Starry Night blinds that are closed and blinds that are closed but horizontal for a semi-opaque appearnce . In particular, the item provides a window treatment for individual windows with only a single prim for the window. Specifically, the item includes a script to switch between closed blinds displaying the famous Starry Night painting and closed blinds that are horizontal for some visibility. Click on the window after applying the prim and you are presented with a menu for six choices (see last image):

(1) Closed;
(2) Open;
(3) Tinted Glass;
(4) Semi-Opaq;
(5) Opacity; amd
(6) Reset

Closed shows blinds covering the window and display a replica of the Starry Night painting (main picture). Open shows a clear transparent texture that appears to be invisible for completely open curtains. Tinted Glass displays a dark tinted glass texture. Semi-Opaq shows the blinds covering the windowing, but appearing to be horizontal for a semi-opaque appearance.

Opacity allows you to adjust the transparency of the blinds and tinted glass between four different levels. Each time Opacity is clicked, the transparency is increased until the maximum is reached whereupon it returns to the default setting of minimum transparency. There are four levels of opacity provided. Reset immediately returns the item to the minimum opacity level.

The item is configurable by notecard to be operable only by the owner or by anyone. The color of the blinds for the semi-opaqe setting is also configurable by using the notecard. White or black seems to work best, but light blue is attractive too. Both white and black are shown in the images.

The prim in this item may be modified and copied. Only the script in the prim may be not be modified, but may be copied and the prim re-sized as you wish and copied to fit windows of different sizes.

Finally, copies of the blinds may be linked together on separate windows (edit the blinds, hold down the shift key and select another copy and then Control L). If you link the copies, clicking on one set of blinds will simultaneously operate the linked copy. It may also be linked with different blinds and curtains, for example it may be linked with Warm Wood Blinds on another window.
