Absolute Bri'ish Unit
An excellent vehicle if you're looking for a LHD Europian style engine. Quick breakdown:
The Good:
Modifiable and comes with all the bits you'd need to customize it
The equipment - No more will you open a locker and see a scant smattering of low quality prebuild mesh like in certain other brands. The equipment is stored realistically and this (Comparatively) little unit has everything you'd need to run fires, flood response, rescues, and likely much more.
Customer service: It has advanced systems. Fear not, you do not need to read page after page to know how to work it, it's not only listed in a readme, it's on a website with not just concise, sectioned instructions but a full playlist of video tutorials for folks who work better with that kind of material. That's a damn fine standard for any product, especially in Secondlife.
Skipping a few bits for lack of characters sake, model is great, included textures are a bonus - including a driver training one and dirty liveries, too - and all functionality can be achived via the HUD or the vehicle's switchgear.
Unfortunately, nothing is perfect, so here's a couple things that do bother me about it - In an attempt to give feedback, mainly.
Issue one: LHD - I may just be a little bit dense, but it seems it's only LHD for this vehicle. A little bit disappointing as so many other sombre products are produced in both variants. Having said that, there's significantly more detail to the dashboard than previous vehicles, and the vehicle is modifiable, so the dedicated (or nuts) can swap the cab out.
Issue two: Realistic Driving - Now, I'm all for a bit of realism in driving, HOWEVER - In this case it's a step too far for me. You can increase the turning speed, which is valuable for tighter turns, but having a more intuitive or slightly faster return to centre seems like it would make it easier.
Overall 9/10 would blues n 2s again
Long waited but worthed it !!!
Love the new tools and the mods and the themes in the package.
Pulls her sleeves up and grins --- ready for new modifications :D
Been waiting for this since I first saw it
Truly "nextgen" as theres so many new features & equipment with the amazing modify quality of sombre everyone enjoys & comes with instructions on how to operate the pump for those who are not similar to EU/UK regions.
The future of SL Fire Fighting
As I first saw the announcement I was not really impressed as it looked very similar to the others. but was I wrong... . The updated and added gear is amazing and the level of things you can customize is truly impressive. I enjoy the more simulator like driving system. The Maintenance system also adds a whole new layer of immersion and RP to SL Fire Fighting.
I would highly recommend watching the well-made YouTube Tutorials and read up on the guides especially if you are not that familiar with UK/EU pumps.
For the future I would enjoy a Left-hand drive version and I hope that the hoses also get and update at some point. But I’m nitpicking. It’s easily the best Fire Truck linden can buy! Go buy it.
One of the best on the Market.
I like what was done here with all the features, It makes things a lot more interesting when you have to remember maintenance on the vehicle, and with the Modification option, There is sure to be a lot of customization for this truck.
Truly a next generation vehicle
There is a learning curve with this appliance, don't be put off by that its truly a rewarding experience. There is a link on the read me card to some amazing video tutorials.
If you don't like the repair function, there is an option to refill and repair by clicking the cab.
This is an exceptionally well made vehicle, filled with a wide range of fire and rescue equipment, all of which is usable.
Well done Libby, and thank you!!
