A starbase Deck is a module with six exits. It has one on each of the four sides, but also one in the ceiling and another in the floor. You get the vertical glass elevator shafts, and specially designed bulkhead end caps to close off the bottom and top of your column of decks. Using this system, you can quickly set up a series of modules linking together both horizontally and vertically.

Turbo lift elevator:
You get a free NovoTech turbo-lift elevator to carry you and four passengers up and down from deck to deck. The elevator can work out for itself where to start and stop, and each deck has its own elevator call button. It has sliding doors and they're synchronised with the elevator station doors of each deck, so they slide open when the elevator arrives.

How it works.
You can connect any starbase module or corridor to any one of the four sides of a hub to make a central hub or corridor junction. And you can also attach them vertically using the glass elevator shafts. There's a specially adapted bulkhead end cap included, that can be used to seal of the top or bottom of a deck hub. Once you have your vertical column of connected decks, you can then use the elevator (included) to travel up and down from deck to deck, along the vertical glass elevator shafts. Each deck has a central elevator station and a "call button" that you can touch to call the elevator from wherever it is.

Setting up:
When you rez a Deck, it always thinks its Deck 1, but you can easily change this. When you have your column of Decks set up, touch the Deck level sign in any deck, and you'll get a menu where you can decide which level number it is. You can set this to Deck 1 through to Deck 8. This will set the deck sign to display the Deck level number and also set the central elevator station and the call button to know the Deck number. If you want more than 8 decks in your column, you can quickly and easily set extra ones manually. You can even have multiple columns of Decks and at different heights. And you can have separate elevators operating up and down each column of Decks using their own glass elevator shafts. Easy step-by-step instructions are included in the pack.

All the Exosphere starbase modules can easily be joined together by simply touching their bulkhead door frames. They'll move themselves into place and align themselves automatically. This module comes with free bulkhead end caps so you can make this into a separate stand-alone module, or you can join it to others to form part of a larger base.
