Starbase Council Chambers [19 prims]

Are your Role Play factions playing up? Is there sporadic firefights breaking out among the colonies? Have enemy battleship cruisers materialised on the edge of your star system? Looks like you need to convene an emergency conference meeting in the Starbase Council Chambers.

This stunning dedicated Starbase module is a fully equipped Council Chamber. It acts as a meeting room for your alliance partners or the Forum of Elders to discuss, argue or forge allegiances. You can use it to issue medals or reprimands, call for suggestions about how to handle the recent alien virus outbreak, or even declare all-out war on the Starbase in the next sim!

- Dedicated Starbase module
- Three wall-mounted working data screens
- Big, curved Conference Presentation screen
- Podium with animations
- Conference table & six chairs with animations
- Sliding bulkhead side entrance door

The Starbase council chambers is opulently appointed with all the necessary tech as is befitting a place of high authority. The ceiling is curved and has banks of lights embedded in the surface and sides. There are view panes running the entire length of the side walls of the Chambers, so people can see their councilors in action. There's plenty of space inside the Chamber to walk around, argue, make your point, forge alliances, and RP.

The walls contain mounted data screen showing animated data panels. There are:

- A fast-loading, low lag series of 20 screens of technical data that look the business!
- A satellite terrain map of the surface below the Starbase. It's the actual map of the sim surface, displaying the current layout of hills, waterways and structures. If you touch the screen, it will refresh the display with the latest sim surface snapshot, so if your starbase relocates, your maps will still be correct.
- A regional star map that cycles through multiple sections showing them divided into hex zones along with some meaningful numbers (whatever they mean).

All the data panels are animated and use extremely low lag and images that resolve very fast. You can place your own furniture in the Chamber, of course, but we have included some free optional accessories for you to get you going. These accessories include the podium, the central table, chairs and the large Conference Presentation Screen. They all come on a ready-to-fix Magno-Bolt base, so you can use the self-aligning magnetic plates that make placing them so easy.

Council Chamber Accessories:
Conference Table and Chairs.
This is a large central table with built-in data screens for the Council members. There are six delegate positions, and each one has a chair with multiple animated poses in them (we don't do pose balls!) so your delegates can lean forward, lean back, look interested, and even tap a few buttons on the small data panels in front of them. You get to choose the animations in use, so you can flick between them as you RP.

The Podium.
The podium is where the one addressing the meeting will stand. It has a series of animated poses, showing the speaker waiting, looking around, and addressing their audience. You can even step away from the podium to the left or the right, so they can get a full view of you making your passionate arguments.

The Conference Presentation Screen.
This beauty is the crowning glory of the Council Chambers. It is a large, curved screen displaying Starbase and Alliance technical data. It cycles slowly through each data screen, fading elegantly through black as it does so. If you touch the screen, it will turn itself off and display the Starbase Council Emblem. Touch again to reveal the screen in action again. We have put a dozen display screens of technical starbase data in for you, but you can easily remove some or all of them and add your own data screens. Simply drag and drop you own textures directly into the contents of the screen at the rear and the screen will reset itself automatically. See the Exosphere website for a detailed guide on how to do this, if you need further guidance.

All the poses use the popular AVPos technology, which means your pose selection is via an easy-to-use menu. It also means each pose is adjustable for individuals, so you know they're going to properly fit you, whatever shape you are.

All the Exosphere starbase modules can easily be joined together by simply touching their bulkhead door frames. They'll move themselves into place and align themselves automatically. This module comes with free bulkhead end caps so you can make this into a separate stand-alone module, or you can join it to others to form a larger base.

Love it

Posted October 06, 2014 by arjunasalem 5 stars

I've bought several modules and love them all. When I bring people to my star base they are always impressed. They say my station looks great and better than they had imagined. In all I have nine different modules, too bad I am running out of prims. (I also bought the bar, short corridor, 1 door offset, 2 door center, command control, Commanders Quarters, 4 way hub and shell unit, and give them all 5 stars.)

Nice as it is, or repurpose it

Great piece as is for your own interstellar council meetings; or you can repurpose it for a time as your bridge or ops center. Add new graphics to the screen, perhaps modify the furniture to delete the podium, and you're all set!
