Touch the pad, select a destination from the menu and step into the sparkling beam! All Exosphere teleports are copy and mod.

Features Include:
- Create a sim-wide teleport network grid
- Unlimited destinations
- Easy auto-install & self-maintaining
- Powerful and robust
- Pick destination from menus
- Teleport effects - lights & sounds
- "Down to the surface" panic button
- Security controls - private, group or public access modes
- Teleports are all mod and copy
- Low prim, low lag

Exosphere teleporters provide transportation for your starbase crew and visitors. The standard teleport station is built into a shadowed base and back panel, complete with animated teleport display screen and panel.

They are easy to set up and are self-configuring. Just touch the pad, pick your destination from the menu, sit on the beam that appears and you will be instantly teleported across to your new location. All teleport users can travel anywhere within the sim almost instantaneously.

It only takes a few minutes to get a fully working teleport grid network set up around your starbase. All the teleporters you put in your sim will be automatically networked together and each one becomes a destination for any of the others. You can easily control the security and access to the teleports.

These teleport pads can handle an unlimited number of destinations and even have a special built-in "down to the surface" panic button, allowing quick access to the ground and back.

You get four different styles of teleporters:

Teleporter Station: [3 prims]
This is a single-passenger teleporter pad, built into a platform with pulsing lights and a mesh control panel with an animated display. Place them anywhere and add a hi-tech authenticity to your structures.

Single Pad Teleporter (mesh): [3 prims]
This single teleport station is a mesh pad bursting with superb tech detail. Drop it in anywhere, change it's name and you have a working teleport that looks great and performs superbly!

Away-Team Three-Pad Teleporter: [6 prims]
You've seen them on Star Trek, now you can own one. This can teleport up to three crew members or Away-Teams to a common destination. The first person to activate the teleporters can select the destination for the team.

Landing Pad teleporter: [1 prim]
This is a one-way, incoming-only transporter. To use it, simply place it anywhere you wish to be able to port into without a return trip, and remember to rename it to the name of the destination. It's only one prim and very low lag.

Setting up your own teleporter network:

1. Rez one of the teleporters wherever you want.
2. Change the name of the teleporter to represent the location name, e.g. "Medical Bay", "War Room", "Airlock-B", etc. This will be the destination name that appears in all the other teleport menus.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all teleporters you want.

Job done! After a few minutes, all your teleporters will have automatically updated themselves and the new destinations will show on all their Destination Menus.

Using the Teleporter:
Touch the teleport station and a Destination Menu will appear. The beam appears only after a destination is selected, and automatically transports you once you sit on it.

Teleporter Maintenance:
You can add, remove, or relocate any of your teleporters or change their destination name. You just need to allow a minute for the changes to ripple through to all your other teleporters. Destination names shouldn't be more that 11 characters long as they will need to fit on the menu buttons.

Teleporter Security:
If you touch the Teleporter, you'll get a menu. The Options menu allows you to set it to public, private or group usage. You can also restrict it so only you or your group can arrive at the destination. Access levels are as follows:

- OPEN - Transporter is visible to every compatible transporter in the sim, not just yours.
- PUBLIC - Anyone on your teleport grid network can travel to this location.
- GROUP - Only people in the same group as the transporter may visit this location.
- PRIVATE - Only the owner will see this location.

You may also take a transporter offline completely, removing it from your teleporter network until you turn it back on. To do so, touch the transporter, go to the OPTIONS menu, and select OFFLINE or ONLINE.

Exosphere teleporters use the powerful, robust Novatech transporter technology.

My favorite teleporter

Posted January 10, 2016 by Stephan Frontenac 5 stars

I got this teleporter because I was starting to have too many destinations on my BBI transporter network and wanted something to allow the players on my sim to easily teleport from floor to floor when they did not want to wait for the elevator.

Pros:
- Matches Style: The textures and displays fits perfectly with the rest of the Exosphere modules, looking like a natural part of the station.
- Modifiable: I needed to put one of the modules in a clean colony and another camouflaged in a forest and I had no problem modifying nearly all the prims.
- Easy to Setup: All together I setup 14 teleporters ranging from the surface to 2800m altitude and as teleporters were moved, renamed, copied (see cons) and deleted, the network rarely had trouble updating. In the cases where it did not update even a day later, the first attempted use of the teleporter updated the list and everything was ready to go.
- Fast: Some older teleporters you feel like your riding a prim across the sky (because technically you are), but when using the Exosphere teleporter I do not notice the different in animation or time between teleporting 30m or 3000m.
- Low prim: I started my build on a Homestead containing 3 space stations, a colony in a skybox and 2 fantasy villages on the surface, so every prim counted for me. I was happy to have a variety of prim use options and having the teleporter be modifiable so I could shave off an extra prim if I wanted.
- Customer Service: I had a request for a small customization that I could no do myself and the creator not only replied rapidly but increased my interest in their future products.

Cons (minor issue):
- Can't Drag Copy: If you drag copy the teleporters with animated monitors, the monitors go to a grey blank texture. You can at that point drag another out of your inventory (what I ended up doing) or delete the script inside the monitor to replace it with one of your own. As a compulsive drag/copier I was disappointed by this.
