Trudeau Runa IV Package Version 2.0

Based on the 1918 design of Danish naval architect Gerhard Rønne, Runa IV is our first mesh multi-masted yacht. The Trudeau Runa IV has a full compliment of luffing "Trusails" - jib, staysail, main, mail topsail and mizzen. She has a full well-appointed cabin for relaxing and lounging belowdecks.

This is my favorite Trudeau, she sails beautifully, I've never had a sim crash with this one (probably dumb luck). Her design is gorgeous and easy to modify.
The animations on this boat and the others from this creator are disappointing. The captain cannot access the ship's cabin animations without standing, hence losing the boat if you are sailing alone. A huge damper. She still gets 5 stars for being one of the best sailing vessels in SL.
One of my favorates
I love the attention to detail that was put into this boat. It's quite obvious that someone put a lot of love into this build. This isn't what I would consider a starter boat as it requires a fair understanding of how sailing works in real life. With stronger winds you will find you need to reef the sails and even lower the mizzen if you want to make any progress and not sit there heeled over on your side for example. I've found that the boat loves light winds (10-15kts) and will zip along quite well when trimmed up. All 3 sails (jib, main, mizzen) can be trimmed and raised/lowered independently via hud. There are 2 huds however and one allows you to trim/raise/lower them all in unison if wish. The boat has inverted steering set as the default but this can along with a few other settings can be changed via a simple config notecard in the boat. Simply change the value as shown and it steers like a car.
There's also lots of very well done custom textures out there to truly make it your own.
The ONLY thing I would change is that turning is not based off the speed of the boat and can be turned at a dead stop. This is really only noticeable when sitting still of course. Otherwise the boat behaves like the RL version. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and wish to give Jacqueline my personnel thanks for this wonderful boat. I'm looking forward to seeing what else she comes out with.
