Rococo Armchair - White painted Wood
A beautiful French 18th century Louis XV White painted Wood and Silk upholstery À Chasis armchair. The frames of the seat furniture were made by the Parisian menuisier Nicolas-Quinibert Foliot, who, like his father, Nicolas Foliot, was furniture maker to the king’s household. The seat is covered in close-nailed Silk upholstery similar to the one founds on the walls of Marie Antoinette's bedroom at Versailles. Armchairs 'À Chasis' which signifies the ease of removing the seat and back enabling to change the upholstery for every season.
