Description:
This is my first item represent trick of making sculpt map compatible with multiface sculpts with something more useful then just prim with colored faces. It is not official supported technology by any viewer, LL or even me as creator. but item made with this trick works absolutely fine in any even old viewer. It takes 1 prim from yours land.
For this days (2014) when user mesh far ago allowed in SL its magic is not wow anymore. So I update this package with modern technics the same picture viewer idea made with mesh. Mesh version twice less prims (1/2, it means 2 linked mesh version will cost you only 1 prim from land)
Both versions, sculpt and mesh supports ANY texture you have in inventory, That is why it used to be viewer you can drop inside set of yours pictures, photos etc, and it will run showing them in cycle, as well showing Name of picture and Name of photographer. It is very light transparent hovering text above picture viewer so may not annoy you. But unlike sculpt that supports only 2 different faces to apply textures (you can change wood texture on wood frame and nail with ropes only at once) , mesh gives option to change 6 faces, 1 for picture showing, 1 for wood frame, 1 for backside of picture, 1 for ropes, 1 for nail, and 1 is hidden surfaces inside nail, that would be useful if you would like to use other then represented scripts, to allow precache image inworld before showing it. It delays time to rez texture. Current script is way more simple it does not use this.
How to use:
- Just click. Next picture will appears;
- if you like to add own script instead of mine do not forget to set picture showing at face 1 not to 0, for mesh also face 1, for cache image on mesh is face 5;
- to change texture on frame or picture just change as regular prims faces.
- to add new pictures in gallery just Ctrl+left mouse and drag and drop texture from inventory to viewer. (This is the fastest way to add texture as opening content of prim can take very much time if you have many textures there.)
Useful to know,
- There are no limitation of pictures you will drop inside viewer.. (thought maybe 255)
- Pictures reads from last to first;
- On adding new picture script autoresets, collecting info about new picture, so cycle starts again from last to first;
- Cycle change is 45 sec, you may force switch to next with touch, no option to change timer as well as no option to make it still. To make still guess just remove script.
