The ABTech Rental is a rental box that allows sharing the rent.
It has been designed to be very easy to use.
But it also includes a lot of optionnal features that allow you to customise it.
The ABTech Rental Map is a powerful mapping tool to complement your ABTech Rental System.
It shows all your rentals in a given sim on a map and helps your visitor to teleport easily to their locations.

ABTECH RENTAL FEATURES :
✔ Low prim model : 1 prim !!!
✔ You can choose to rent by hour, day or week
✔ Price per week, minimum and maximum rental period, prim limits are easy to set
✔ You can reserve a rental box for a specific person
✔ You can share the rent (with up to 20 other avatars). Sharers are notified by IM when they receive their %.
✔ A "reminder IM" with a teleportation link is sent to the tenant 48 hours before rental ends. You can change the number of hours or disable this feature.
✔ The owner (you) can add time to someone rental's.
✔ You can allow/deny anybody to pay to add time to someone rental's.
✔ You can add a notecard inside the rental : this notecard will be given to anyone who touch the rental.
✔ You can choose if a location will become available for rent for anyone as soon as a rental ends or after a customizable number of hours.
✔ When you cancel a lease, the rental box tells you the amount you may refund for the remaining time (it's up to you to decide to refund or not).
✔ Light effets indicate the state of the ABTech Rental (out of order, rented, not rented...). You can customise the colors of the light.
✔ The ABTech Rental can move when rented. It will go back to its initial position when the rental ends.
✔ Tenant can add not rounded periods (added time is automatically computed)
✔ You can customise the hover text (color and text)
✔ No commands to remember.

ABTECH RENTAL MAP FEATURES :
✔ Displays automatically an updated view of your land on the background of the map (or a texture of your choice)
✔ Rez indicator prims displaying the location of each ABTech Rental (The color of these indicators will change according to the status of the rental)
✔ Customisable indicator prims (5 different models are already provided and you can add your own indicators)
✔ Information about a rental is given to users who click on one of the indicators (rented or not, price, min and max rental duration...).
✔ You can provide a notecard to an user you click on the map (a default notecard with basic information is already provided)
✔ The map can be used as a teleport hub to easily teleport to the ABTech rentals and you can customise the teleportation feature (for any location, only when the location is available for rent, disabled). Whatever the teleportation feature is set to, you (as the owner) will always get the teleportation link.
✔ By default the ABTech rental map displays the full sim area. You can change the area to be displayed (the background texture can be resized automatically to fit your area)
✔ You can choose to display up to 50 rentals on a single map (even if they use different time periods) or to display some of your rentals on different Maps.
✔ You can fully customise the map (change size, colors, texture...you can even link it with other prims) and use it as a table, a board on wall, or anything else you wish...
✔ You can enable/disable the floating text above the indicators
✔ Easy to set up :
- Rez your map and turn it on using the menu.
- Turn on your ABTech rental and they will be automatically detected
- Turn them off and they will be removed (you can also remove them manually)

✔ Capacity : Each ABTech Rental Map can display up to 50 ABTech Rental and you can display up to 450 ABTech rentals per sim using 9 maps.

If I had Only Purchased This First,..
I could have had his teleporters figured out by now.
It is just wonderful, and the wonkier bits are forgettable.
I really agree with the first and rather thorough review about this here Mr. Beaumont's Rental Map & P.O.S. Set. At 600L$s - I spent more on the Dead.com Systems and still could not suffer my failure to accomplish consistent results from them. So with only my patience to blame, I read Ales Notecard Instructions and Vada Bing!
Never looked back.
So, If something goes wrong with an ABTech Product, in my experience it has all to do with operator headspace.
I will leave a landmark to where I am setting It up again soon.

Rent Until You Love It
WOW! FINALLY ... A RENTAL GADGET THAT TRULY WORKS!~ I think I'm gonna faint! :P
After 12 years in SL this is my first review. First time I felt compelled to take the time to write one. I tried Casper, following their videos, but maybe they haven't updated some small detail, because me and my far more savvy rental partner could not get it to work. Tried John Mash's rental stuff, but it's outdated and probably why we couldn't get it to display the rental time properly, therefore just confused the heck outta our rental peeps. Then there were a bunch of cheap ones I won't even mention - same problem with the erroneous rental time periods.
I saw the mapping system and was already working this out, as we have four rental islands that I thought this might work great as a centralized rental map system. We "sell" the land to our renters so that they get as much control as possible, so we don't leave our rental units on their parcels. Instead I create a general space for all our rental folks to pay their rent at. Sadly, the mapping system ABTECH makes only works if the rental unit is on that same sim, but it's ok! I turned the round pillar sideways on MY MAP and called it done!.
The best part was configuring it. There were a few places it could have read clearer, but I actually got it done and working the first time through! WOOT! Right? :D The only wishful thing I'd have liked is if the color band covered the whole end/top of the pillar. Then, when I turned it sideways - like a pin - the color coded status could be more easily seen. But hey! Can't have everything ... all at once! LOL *wiggles eyebrows at the maker*.
BUT SERIOUSLY ALES! Where is the bit to share revenues dude? LOL My SL daughter and I need one of us to be the savings account! :)> And maybe one day this can work grid wide, reporting rentals from multi sims across the grid? Each with their own map covered with blinking colored beacons that magically move to where they belong maybe? Yes .. i know! I'm a greedy wench! LOL
