Tropical Creations New Free swimming OFFSIM Baby Orca is the first truly free swimming offsim baby Orca in Second Life! Now you can add an offsim baby orca to our unique new adult free swimming OFFSIM Orca!
This Offsim baby Orca amazingly does all that our on sim baby Orca does but does it OFFSIM! It will either follow an adult offsim orca or randomly swim fully offsim, partially offsim or fully within the sim within it's settable swim area. It can even be set to swim at altitude above the Linden ocean. Now you can have an offsim Orca family!
Baby Orca has been created to mimic RL baby Orcas in the wild with tail splashes they might do naturally. However, unlike RL, baby Orca will stay mainly near the surface and if set to following, near their parent in SL so it can be seen and its RL orca songs can be heard.
Setup of offsim baby Orca is AMAZINGLY easy.
Baby is amazingly simple to set up to follow a parent! You must have an adult Tropical Creations Free swimming offsim Orca for Baby to follow, it will NOT recognise our on-sim Orcas as prospective parents. Rez the offsim baby 5m to 10m inside your parcel boundary adjacent to the water area where your OFFSIM parent Orca is. Select FIND Parent from the menu given when rezzed. If Baby Orca finds a parent it will swim to it and follow. If the parent is stopped with it's limits already set, baby will free swim and play until the parent starts to swim, then baby Orca will follow the parent.
Baby can also be set to free swim on its own. If the baby Orca detects an off-world boundary nearby, the menu given will have one or more Auto (direction) buttons. (ie: Auto north, Auto south, Auto east, Auto west). Select the relevant Auto (direction) button from the menu to automatically set baby up to swim off that boundary. Baby Orca will rotate and move to that boundary and set the maximum swim area based on your parcel size. Then select START from the menu to start baby swimming on it's own.
Note that the minimum swim area permitted is 12m x 12m with a water depth of 4m. The maximum is dependent on the size of your land but could be up to 255.9m wide x 44m deep.
Other functions of the offsim baby orca include:
- Owner or Group menu access
- Set the swim area & water level
- Rename and show name in float text above the Orca
- Set the gender
- Set the skin
- Set the level of sound
- Splashes & Animations, turn On / Off
- Get Help or Reset

Amazing!!
Not only are the orcas the best ever, but the customer service is absolutely amazing. I have screwed up the settings a couple of times and they help me out each time! The service is just so great, and the orcas! They are so well done, and I get lost just watching them. They have personality and even seem to interact with me...yes I know that is ridiculous but the way they wander it looks like they are coming up to interact. I absolutely love these orcas and am going to need to get the dolphins too!

I had a couple minor glitches with my orcas, and sent the creator a message. Not only did they respond within a couple of hours, they visited my sim and fixed the issue right away along with helping me program the orcas (one was trying to do a Free Willy). A+ service, which is rare to find in SL.
