★ NEW in v2.3: Fully baked textures with ambient occlusion

■ PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Canvas Painting/Photo Storage and Display Rack provides an efficient and intuitive way to store and display paintings and drawings in your home, office or studio. Anyone can look at them without the space required to hang them all in a gallery or resorting to slide show picture frames.

✔ Note: The Silly Dynamics Painting Rack was conceptualized, designed and prototyped by Alurcha Niekerk. It is now co-developed and co-marketed by Silly Dynamics and Luna Fatale.

■ OPERATION

Touch the rack to obtain the menu.

Select desired canvas format (aspect ratio) to be displayed:
Square (1:1), Landscape (4:3), Portrait (3:4), Upright (1:2) or Horizontal (2:1).

While a Canvas is displayed:
Touch the rack to return the canvas (e.g. to select another format).
Touch the canvas to acquire the image selection menu.
Press a numbered button to select the image to display.
Press the DELETE PIC button to remove the displayed texture from the canvas.
Drag a texture to the canvas (while holding CTRL) to add an image.

Anybody can select images by clicking the canvas and selecting from the menu. It will be returned to the storage area and the selected image will be returned to the display area.

✔ Note: Only the owner of the rack can add and remove textures.

✔ Hint: To move a displayed canvas back into the rack, click the rack again. This will leave the display area empty.

■ PERSONALIZATION

You can change the images that are permanently shown on the "prop" canvases that remain stationary in the rack. Using the Edit tool, press the Select Face radio button and then click the face of the canvas you want to change. Now you can drag your texture to the Texture box in the edit tool, or click the Texture box and navigate to the desired texture. This way you show your own creations on the stationary canvases.

Works great.

Looks great, works well, the and you can tint the frame to alter the color of the wood a bit from the very pale pine-ish texture it somes with without giving up the baked details.

The only thing I would suggest to improve this is to have several texture options for the frame, like a rosewood and a walnut as well as the ever-present oak to compliment the basic pine that it comes with so it fits into the decor of the studio (or study in my case) it is being placed in.
