User Guide - Decision Helper
Description:
The Decision Helper is a versatile virtual tool designed to assist in making choices more fun and engaging in Second Life. By allowing users to input up to three choices in a single message, it randomly selects one and announces it publicly. This tool enhances interactive sessions, meetings, or any scenario where a random choice needs to be made, adding an element of surprise and participation from all involved.
Usage:
1. Attach the Decision Helper to your HUD. Once it's added, position it optimally for easy access and visibility.
2. Enter your choices in the chat on channel 0 (public) or the unique channel from hover text for private input/no interference. Separate your choices with "or" and end your sentence with a question mark. For example: "apple or orange juice or banana milkshake?" or "/1234 apple or orange juice or banana milkshake?" (Replace 1234 with the actual channel).
3. The Decision Helper will process your entries and randomly select one of the options, announcing the chosen option in the format "[Choice] has been chosen."
Notes:
- Owner Interaction: The Decision Helper is configured to receive inputs only from its wearer/owner to ensure privacy and control.
- Response Channels: Responses are broadcast in the public chat when inputs are made on channel 0. For inputs made on the unique private channel, responses are sent privately to the owner.
- Choice Limitations: The script is optimized to handle up to three choices. It requires a minimum of two choices to function properly.
- Channel Configuration: Upon attachment and each time the channel reset button is pressed, the unique channel number will be updated and displayed on the HUD. This ensures secure and private communication.
Warning:
The Decision Helper may assist in simple indecision such as, "what should I eat?" or "what should I wear?", however, it is advised not to entrust "life-changing decisions" to this product, as it does not involve, AI Analysis or Little Computer People, its just done at random, ie, for fun, nothing serious!
