The Drow Arcane Obelisks are intended to be magic energy nodes or transmitters of arcane energies of greater artifacts such as the Drow Arcane Wonder. This particular one with magical power crystals swinging from chains is considered a major artifact with high amplification powers, and a vital item crucially necessary as an arcane energy conductor in the Drow Elf Netherworld. One of these artifacts is usually accompanied by six satellite minor arcane obelisk artifacts in the Drow Netherworld. Any number of these major arcane obelisks are magically connected to the Drow Arcane Wonder Relic which exists at the very heart of the Drow Netherworld. Standing near one of these arcane obelisks, a Drow Elf Sorcerer can amplify his magical abilities considerably, and particularly when near the greater artifacts.
It measures 6x6x20 meters high and is 15 prims in weight. Has fire particle effects and swinging crystals. It has a high energy arcane ambient sound effect, and bumping into it causes the bottom part to glow brighter. Almost everything is mod/copy perms so you can change it as you see fit.
This particular build will have problems rezzing where the swinging crystals do not position exactly right when there is significant SL or sim lag. Sometimes rezzing it again will fix them, or manually repositioning and re setting the swing scripts in the effected crystals after rezzing the structure will fix it too.
