This is the easiest possible TP pad to setup and use. It's a within-region TP system.
I've just drastically reduced the price, and also made everything full-perm.
Just rez copies where you want them and you're done! The TP pads are copyable so you can rez as many TP pads as you like.
Click them, get a menu, select your destination, then click again to TP. Couldn't be easier.
The description field of the TP pads is used to describe different TP locations. Call the different locations whatever you like. Just keep them somewhat short so they fit on a menu button. You can have duplicate descriptions and everything will still be kept straight.
The only limitation is that the pads must all be in the same region. This is a Linden restriction.
NOTE: If you rez the TP pads on land that is deeded to a group, that group may be assigned to the rezzed pad. Please see GROUP under advanced instruction (below) to turn this off. Any TP pad assigned to a group will require avatars have that group activated to use it. If the pad is assigned to the "none" group, anyone can use it.
Features:
* Nice particles swirl once your destination is chosen.
* A large clickable area is available (within the particles) once your destination is chosen, making it easy to TP.
* The actual "Name" of the TP pad can be anything you like. The only place it appears is in the top of the dialog menus which display the list of TP locations when you initially click a TP pad. Don't forget that the TP pad descriptions are used to describe the different locations, not the TP pad names.
* Possible "Arrive Only" pads.
* Possible "Depart Only" pads.
* The pad prim is modifiable so that you can make it any color you like. You can even re-texture it if you like.
* The script that does the magic is copyable (but not modifiable). You could put the script in your own TP pad if you wanted, and it would work as outline here.
* Ability to restrict use by avatars to an activated group.
Advanced (Optional) Instructions:
These optional features are each independent. Use only the ones you need.
* DEPART ONLY: You can create a "Depart Only" pad. When you do this, this pad's description will not appear in the menu list of other TP pads. To do this, you simply place a notecard in the TP pad's inventory named "DepartOnly". The contents of the notecard do not matter. A notecard with this name has been supplied. If you do this, you will need to "Take" and then re-rez that specific pad. In other words, you must rez it after you place the DepartOnly notecard in its inventory. Just resetting the script is not adequate. Also, you don't have to do anything to the other pads when you do this.
* ARRIVE ONLY: You can create an "Arrive Only" pad. To do this, you simply place a notecard in the TP pad's inventory named "ArriveOnly". The contents of the notecard do not matter. A notecard with this name has been supplied. You don't have to do anything to the other pads when you do this. Also, for the ArriveOnly option, there is no need to re-rez the TP pad after placing the notecard in its inventory.
* GROUPS: One, or some, or all of your TP pads can restrict their usage by avatars to active group membership, if you like. Note that the group must be activated by the avatar attempting to TP. Membership alone is not enough. To do this, assign the TP pad (or pads) to the group. This is done by editing the TP pad, and then, on the "General" edit tab, click the little wrench-button to the right of where it says "Group", and select the group. If you wish to disable this at a later time, assign the TP pad to the "none" group. Note that there is no need to actually "Deed" the TP pad to the group.
* MENU BUTTON ORDER: You can specify the order that the TP locations appear in the dialog menus. To do this, you will place the # symbol followed by a number at the end of the TP pad's description. For instance, you may use "Ballroom #4" as your description (no quotes). If there are other pads with a #1, #2, and #3, then this Ballroom pad will always be fourth in the menu button list. The numbers don't need to be sequential, and there can be duplicate numbers, but the duplicates won't be sorted.
* TWO (or more) CIRCUITS: It's possible to have these TP pads make two (or more) circuits on the same sim. This would be one group of pads that work together, and then another group that works together but independent of the first group. To do this, simply buy a second TP pad from MarketPlace with another avatar (possibly your alt). The TP pads are not transferable, so you must buy a second pad to accomplish this. TP pads only work together so long as they all have the same owner.
I truly hope you get a great deal of enjoyment out of these TP pads.
Sincerely,
KyleFlynn
