This thing was *huge* on my avatar, and you could only scale it *up* by default since several parts were already at the thinnest possible size, but after making a copy and increasing the thickness of those pieces I could edit the whole thing and bring it to a proper size for my body then go back in and reduce those links down to the minimum z size again.
It looked a bit silly while I was working on it but, after I was done, it's hard to tell anything was stretched separately.
Now one end doesn't go *through* my hand while the other hangs off past my elbow far enough to look like I could almost use it to glide with.
Bonus points since I can angle it along the curve of my gauntlet to sit close at my wrist and be a bit off my body at the elbow and have it still look good when deployed.
I wear a set of mechanical arms on my back in the cyberpunk avatar so pretty much no shield I own (or any I had seen) would work due to clipping with them when it was in a rest position. With this it's only larger than my arm when it's in use so it works with the prosthetics.
The only thing that could make this better is having a larger shield, after scaling it down it's even smaller than it was originally, and to begin with it's more of a targe (which is what I wanted) than a full shield but scaled down it's even smaller.
I can make the shield bit larger, and it stays larger if I do that unlike some multi-state items that reset their sizes when they change state, but the darker colored area only lines up properly with the lighter colored one at the default ratio and the darker area also lines up with the emitter so it just looks wrong if I make the energy part larger while keeping the physical part small enough to fit me.
All-in-all it's *almost* perfect, and not enough of an issue for me to take off any points, but it would be nice to have something like this made for smaller avatars.
