If you would, a space station of comparable wonder to park would be grand. 10/10.
Great, with some comments...
This ship is beautiful modeled. Amazing detail, awesome textures and lighting, and it's just so damn cool I literally rented a parcel just to live in this thing. 100% recommend.
I have a few criticisms though, and I've found work-arounds for some, but for others there's just nothing I can figure out to do. I'm not a builder, I don't really understand some of the problems going on here.
1. Avatars struggle fitting through a few doors, most notably the crew quarters doors and the Captain's quarters has an invisible wall that means you have to squeeze through. My avatar is smaller than average, as I've made her height realistic to RP sims where they generally have a measuring tool. Still, I have to sit-glitch through to get in some rooms.
2. The toilet rooms were hard to find, and you can't delete, unlink, or hide the toilet. Not to mention, you can't even enter the toilet rooms. I put a toilet in there, made it invisible and overlaid it over the basic toilet brick in there, but if I get up, I fall through the ship. I wish this could be fixed!
3. The ship doesn't come with any textures to customize, besides a HUD tool to color the outside. I've been adding different floors/walls into rooms to customize the rooms to my liking, and I wish I had some matching textures so I can make the new walls/floors match the style. I found some random stuff I liked on the marketplace, but it's just not the same. I would pay extra for a texture pack and "ship bits" pack like the CIC pack the store offers. Just sayin'!
Finally,
I want to echo the other reviewer and say I wish this ship was vertical, and not a belly-lander. This is just me using the review as a platform to signal that there is interest out there in The Expanse style ships. Two reasons: 1, it feels way more realistic for the ship to be oriented like a building. 2, it would save me so much money, since I had to rent a pretty big parcel just to fit the ship.
Food for thought!
Excellent chunky techy look. Pity it's a belly lander, though.
Nah, I'm not going to knock a star off for a quirk of personal preference. This is really quite nicely made, lots of clickies throughout the ship to open and close and interact with and so forth. Very much a "near future" sort of spacecraft, like something from The Expanse.
But...
But if this serious looking ship had decks laid out like a tail-lander/tower instead of a belly-lander/ocean ship? I'd find a way to give it a six star rating. Maybe even seven if it had heat radiators too. Ahhh, a gearhead can dream.
This is still great stuff as is, though.
Amazing
I just love this so much. Strongly recommend going to the in-world location and checking it out yourself, I can't do it justice just by blabbing about it here (but I will blab about it here...) The lighting is great, the ambient sound is awesome without being annoying, the spaces feel tight but maneuverable. It's basically the kind of ship I always envisioned my character working on.
My only small complaint would be that the crew quarters rooms are so small that you can't really do much with them. I wish I could just unlink and remove the wall that divides the crew quarter rooms to make/customize one larger room, but the way everything is set up that seems to be impossible. The rooms would be perrrrrfect if I could knock those walls down.
honest review
As for the construction of the ship, it is a delight to look at, the PBR textures and other things are an honest delicacy to look at, if you want a ship for static RP this is the ship
BUT
There are several things that I didn't like,
make it a difficult solo, so that won't be what I didn't like
It's okay, it's a rezzer with several pieces, but at least if it's going to be static, it should at least have the ability to fire the weapons or have changes to the weapons themselves, especially the turrets. I'm paying like 8K minimum for extra parts and spare parts. of turrets for customization, or for the rooms, 2 empty rooms that at least give the option of being able to put something, it is a little annoying that when you delete a piece you get the warning that something is not copyable or does not allow modification, especially the rezzer.
I think those are my complaints, then the rest is a delight soon for some RP it will be great, I hope they provide functional weapon parts in the future.
I still give it 5 stars
postscript: I have always been hitting myself in the head because of the size of my avi XD I need a helmet
Another addition would be good if it were released in the future in an update if the tactical table had some hologram or planetary animation
It is also necessary that the beds have at least animation of sitting or lying down. ((this is also something I didn't like))
