They will stay 1 Li for a while during resizing, please remember resizing will get the Li higher eventually.
You may check Lily & Black Cat shelves which are similar if this is not what you are looking for but could be with a little change.
You can find the books for free at in-world store. The bookshelves come empty so you can decorate as you wish.

Lovely, a great value
As a well-made mod/copy item, this bookcase is quite versatile.
SIZE -- It arrived a little smaller than I expected and I was pleased to see it stretches considerably larger (approx 0.7x3.29x4.38) while maintaining LI=1.
TEXTURES -- The all-in-one mesh object includes 2 faces, one for all sides of the bookcase, and one for a wall shadow. Nice variety of 8 colors/finishes on the included versions of the bookcase, but if you want to customize it yourself without the trouble of creating texture maps, you'll find that many regular textures with dark shaded edges also look great.
