JD MTF Ambulance
===============

An oldtimer ambulance might not be the fastest way to get to an injured, but you can bet that the person in question will never forget the bouncy ride that gives him/her a worse experience than suffering the actual injury.

Our ambulance is a a real workhorse, suited for 2 paramedics and 1 patient, features beautiful sculpt parts and a mechanical siren accompanied by a really annoying horn. (Also hand brake for the special care of serious injuries.)

Features
======

* 29 prim PHYSICSAL car (NOT a wearable!) for 3 persons

* Copy enabled (you can buy it as gift on http://www.xstreetsl.com keyword: JD MTF Ambulance)

* Texture change enabled for logo (the back part of the truck and number plate)

Owners' manual
===========

First there was the JD MTF Vintage Truck. Then people realized that it doesn't always leave the bean sacks behind even on bumpy roads, so they started to take their pals in the cargo area to see if they can travel there or fall off.

Some of them indeed fell off and got seriously injured, but still had fun and one of them loved the experience so much, she decided to upgrade his good old car and thus the first ambulance car was born.

And now you can have your very own ambulance car to carry the injured or just to park on the grass of your neighbor and sound the loud siren and horn.

Below are some tips to get you started.

How to drive
++++++++

W,A,S,D or arrow keys - the usual controls for throttle/brake, turning.

E, C or PageUp, PageDn - Shift gear up/down

E+C together - Handbrake: use it at greater speeds, but beware as your car may roll over.

Shift-Right - Siren on/off

Shift-Left - Headlights on/off

Touch the car to invoke the menu:

HUD - toggle HUD

NEXTCAM, PREVCAM - select next/previous camera setting of the 4 presets.

Customizing the textures
+++++++++++++++

After each rezzing you have 2 minutes to change a texture. We advise you to only change the logo using the full perm textures you receive in the car's box.

We DO NOT provide support on how to paint a logo in Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro/Gimp/etc.

Texurizable components:

* license plate
* back part of the car with red cross on it (only the outer parts, the inner parts have medical instruments on them)

Security
++++++

Ejecting unwanted passengers is achieved by typing the intruder's full name on channel 988. The name is not case sensitive and the car's owner CANNOT be ejected.

I.e.:
/988 John Doe
/988 joHn doE

FAQ
===

Q: The car accelerates slowly in 3rd gear unlike in my other SL vehicles!
A: Yes, it is sorta like in RL, 1st gear has the shortest gear ratio, so it accelerates best in 1st.

Q: How does the hand brake work?
A: When turning, press (and possibly hold) 'E' and 'C' keys together. If you do it at high speed it's more fun, but it can roll your car over, so beware!

Q: When turning, the wheels don't turn too smooth.
A: This is because the only sane way to turn a prim is by a script function that has a built-in delay of 0.2 seconds. Lindens promised a similar function without delay coming in the near future.

Q: The front wheels sometimes spin a bit too much.
A: This is because of another SL function that renders the spinning client side.

Q: Are you sure the patients enjoy laying on the stretcher when the whole thing is bouncing in every directions?
A: Well we can say they can't stand it (literally).

Feedback
++++++++

If you have any comments, feedback, please IM the proper person (see credits). You will more likely get a response if you ask Jenne about the awesome sculpts she made or the textures she made and you will more likely get a response about the controls or anything related to scripts if you IM Mandy.

Your feedback is appreciated.

Great for period role play

This is one of the easiest vehicles to drive I have found in SL. I also have the fire truck. Both are great. I use in Roaring 20s Chicago.

It was easy to customize the side panel in Photoshop Elements. My one complaint is that the door can't be customized. Not a big issue for me. Might be for some. (The panel says Second Life Ambulance.)

JD MTF by Jenne Dibou without a doubt is the most impressive work I have see is SL for a long long time. I am a SL Photographer and I have purchased all the autos so far except for her roadster. Good job Jenne.
