The Kennebunk is a cozy yet spacious log home that can be used along the waters edge with the included boat dock or on dry land without it. The dock is a separate linkset so it can be deleted after rezzing, leaving a set of steps down the ground. Because it's separate from the deck, it can be raised or lowered to match the water level. The steps are long enough to allow it to be up to 5m lower than the deck.
Inside, the large prow shaped windows allow for an open feel without sacrificing the warmth only a log home can provide. A fire blazes in the large stone fireplace with custom doors that open at a touch so the fire can be turned on and off by touching the logs. Smoke comes from the chimney when it's lit. A realistic moosehead adds to the rustic feel, but can be easily removed if not wanted.
The other side features a large country kitchen complete with working appliances and sink water. Touch the faucet to fill and drain the sink. All appliance doors open and the stove burners light at a touch. A vent rises from behind the stove as well. Another set of doors works as the front entrance, featuring antique lanterns that light at a touch to them or the switch just inside the doors.
There are two bedrooms on the second level as well as a balcony area. Each of these rooms have an accent wall to provide some contrast the log walls. The textures on these walls can be changed by touching the wall to bring up the menu. You are also free to add your own textures if desired.
The third level is a loft room which could serve as a third bedroom.
The windows are tintable to six levels, from clear to full black, by touching the controller by the patio doors. The inside and outside can be set to different levels. For example, the outside can be full black for privacy while leaving the inside lighter so you can still see out.
The roof texture can be changed from summer to winter by touching anywhere on the roof. Snow hangs from the eaves and on the deck pilings when winter is selected. Touching the boat dock will add snow to the pilings on it as well. By default this is set to owner only, but this can be changed if desired. I recommend leaving it like this so others can't change it on you.
Don't let my low prices lead you to believe these are slapped together boxes. I search SL and RL for the best textures I can find and spend many hours making each home as nice as I can. Look around and I'm certain you won't find a better home for the money. Customer service is very important to me and I will do whatever it takes to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase.
All of my homes are copy/mod/no trans so you are free to make any changes you like to them. Some of the scripts are no mod and this will cause it to say no mod, but anything besides the scripts can be changed. If there is something you may want changed and don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, I will do my best to help out and make it your own personal home.
