~ INTRODUCTION ~
Use this versatile, modular building set as an event venue, store, mall, or in any industrial-themed roleplay environment.
Please read the following and check out the in-world version first, before you buy. The Land Impacts of the example buildings and segments are indicated in the images on this vendor page.

~ PREREQUISITES ~
Editing and modifying TBF Les Halles requires some basic knowledge about building in SL. Some of the skills that are required are moving and rotating large objects along a grid (snap to grid), making and keeping some objects 'root', resizing large link sets and multi-link set collections. This also requires a 'Control-mouse-camming' skill to keep a quick and convenient bird's eye overview of large objects during editing.
TBF will not provide support for editing. If you seek assistance, contact members of the Builder's Brewery or other in-world building groups, or ask for help on the Second Life Community website,

~ IMPORTANT EDIT SETTINGS ~
The TBF Les Halles pack contains pre-assembled example buildings, as well as a collection of segments that can be recombined into a building of your own preference. The segments are contained as an 'unlinked' collection. Before rezzing this collection, make sure the Edit window in your SL viewer is set as follows:
- (i) Make sure that 'Edit as root' is selected.
- (ii) Make sure that 'Snap' is selected.
- (iii) Keep the grid snap-to distance at 0.500 m.

~ REZZING UNLINKED SEGMENTS ~
Next, before you rez the unlinked collection of segments from your inventory to in-world, make sure you are met with the following conditions:
- (i) Make sure you have enough floor space (1/16th to 1/4th of a region).
- (ii) Make sure your Edit window is open _before_ you rez the segments.
Upon rez, immediately snap the collection to grid. From here on, it's easier to grab copies (through Shift-drag) of individual segments and reposition and align them. Under these conditions, aligning the segments is as easy as snapping to grid.

~ LINKING SEGMENTS ~
Linking segments has its limitations: objects can only be linked if they are _at most_ at 30 m distance from the root prim. The best strategy for linking segments of a large structure is to keep one of the segments at the geometrical center of the set as root. Beyond a certain building size, you'll have to handle the building in its entirety as a multiple link set.
For the sake of convenience, to preserve their snap-to-grid capability for perfect alignment, always make sure that one of the floor parts of the building remains root.
Finally, and importantly: do not link the clocks to the building. You can, but if the clock is further away than 20 meters from the root prim of the building, the Dialog system will no longer work. This is a bug in Second Life. LL has indicated that it will not be fixed.

~ RESIZING ~
At their default scale, the building segments will fit together seamlessly, as long as the floor-parts remain root, and as long as they remain snapped to grid. If you plan to resize the building, make sure all segments are aligned as desired and linked in as few link sets as possible (preferably a single link set). Upon resizing, the whole snap-to-grid alignment capability will likely be gone.

~ DISCLAIMER ~
The building parts and clocks are Copy/Mod. The scripts in the clocks are No Mod. Resizing may change the Land Impact.

Thanks, I love it , very easy to work with. nice details. It is great for smaller land, so that you can fit it exactly to your needs.( I did build it to my needs on a sand box first.)

segments are not in parts they are link and you need a massive area to Rez them all. you should give the segments in an package to open not Rez a massive bunch of linked objects. I have a 1/4 sim and still can Rez then.
