Update 1.2.
Version 1.2 features a 7-seater rezzable runabout boat to ferry passengers (or yourself) to hard-to-reach landing points, or simply to take your passengers on a water tour.
Numerous other additions, such as internal lighting and navigation switches added, and ATC chatter only whilst under power.

The Dragonfly is designed to be a versatile aircraft, capable of "Island hopping" whilst still being able to land at virtually any airport - the aircraft will land on either prim objects (such as airport runways), or on undeveloped Second Life® ground. This aircraft is unusual in the fact that it uses a top-mounted turbofan engine to supply thrust; most other seaplanes utilize propeller or turbo prop power plants.
It seats six passengers and two crew, and has excellent stability when crossing Sim borders. The interior passenger cabin is roomy, and avoids the claustrophobic sensation of many other aircraft. A sittable bathroom at the back provides relief for those longer flights.
The aircraft can auto-detect airport water ramps, or you may choose semi-manual or fully manual modes when you need to lower landing gear for the transition from water to land. Transitioning from land to water is always handled automatically, and landing gear will retract when the plane finds itself in water..
Although the aircraft is easy to fly, there is still a degree of skill needed to takeoff and land successfully. For example, flaps must be used for both takeoffs and landings, and nose-first landings will not be tolerated. This means you will need to be on your toes during takeoffs and landings, and is intended to add to the realism of flying in Second Life®.
The ability to land on any stretch of water in Second Life® makes this aircraft highly versatile, since it can opens up new routes for both the casual pilot and for airline owners/operators - smaller islands and secluded coves can now be easily accessible.
We hope that you find this aircraft a useful addition to your Second Life® aviation fleet, and we are confident you will find the plane reliable, serviceable, and pleasant to fly.

ok airplane
Yes it flies supurb, but there are issues.
1 very often the moment the plane hits the ground with a 98 point score landing it will just vanish in thin air, No you did not crash, it just vanishes.
2 the landing lights stay on when you do a waterlanding, only way to turn them of is delete the aircraft and rez a new one.
3 the lcd screens in the plane display adds of airline, the builders wife activities etc, this can not be changed, but you can edit the screens out.
Sadly I own all his planes, and all have issues, the builder how ever will NOT awnser your notecards and therefor 2 stars only, as of very poor customer care, if that was good, he would have deserved 10 stars as of how the airplane handles.
very nice but...
where to start...: the plane is very nice, very easy to fly, and for various reasons it's definitely the best plane I ever bought (and I own a lot of planes and flying things!).
BUT: why the hell no HUD? with 2,626 L$ spent I expect a fuc**ing HUD to manage the plane and the fly! Just reply the panel on the cockpit, the compass and a damn gauge for the vertical speed. At least! These are the minimum requirements for every SL aviator, and are the minimum equipment that can be found even in 50 L$ planes!
I bought others flying things from this creator and I found the right HUD; why not with this plane?
So 1 star for the laziness of this creator till he will give us a real and functional HUD for the Dragonfly.
Perfect for short flights, great for any skill level!
This little gem is just fun to fly. While the panel is simplified to aid beginners, don't let that fool you. You can still raise the stakes and make your flights as realistic as SL allows. This amphibian is equally at home on land or water, though the real fun is in the air! It's very forgiving, such as my first flight wit it when in my excitement I neglected to set the flaps for takeoff, dropping off the end of the runway 28 feet into the water for a hard but survivable landing. Lesson learned? Read the documentation, do as Mick says, and flights will go a lot better, lol. Thanks for the hard work Mick, it is very much appreciated. :)
Love her.
Beautifully made aircraft. Excellent controls, albeit a little complex for my blonde brain.
Once taken off, is a delight and only thwarted by those nasty people with blocking security fields.
Passengers enjoyed the great detail too.
A big thank you, Mick.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!
I was hesitant to purchase this plane at first because I found it by accident when I came across one with a bad livery while traveling the Blake in my speed boat, but man am I glad I did! This is my favorite of all my aircraft. The attention to detail is outstanding both inside and out and mechanically! The flight characteristics are amazing! The included camera HUD is perfect for this plane, and I love how it doesn't have an aircraft HUD that you place on your screen. Instead it has a simple intuitive HUD on the dashboard with a view in the camera HUD that goes right to it! It features a start up sequence like none other that I have experienced so far (you will be on the tarmac showing off for at least a minute or so), screens on the back of every passenger chair with appropriate animations that make you feel like you are on an airliner, a working head, and rocking motion when your on the water(even when its shut off and you are not in it), as well as auto land detection which will cause the plane to ask you if you want to lower the landing gear or not, and the extremely realistic sounds. Also, in my opinion and very importantly, for the size, it does extremely well on the sim crossings, although the camera HUD not so much, but it is tolerable. This is a true island hopper for long distance travels. If you really want a true passenger jet experience with a few bells and whistles to boot, this is the plane for you. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT IT! Great job Mick and keep up the excellent work!
Excellent Aircraft
Realistic, fun to fly. Scripting is a cut above the rest. It is good to see producers leaving the status quo behind and setting new levels in excellence.
