MACHESS RENTAL PACKAGE Version 2.5.5

Rental Package includes the following three items:

1. Rental Board (Modify, Copy)
2. Rental Box (Modify, Copy)
3. Telepad (Modify, Copy)

This rental box is capable of communicating with the following tools:

1. Machess Rental Controller (optional)

3. Rental Board
4. Land Manager and Instant Messager/Group Joiner/Gift sender (optional)
5. Machess Rental Server (optional)

Features of the rental box include:
------------------------------------------------------
1. Supports hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly rental options. Visitors may select their preferential renting options.
2. Notecard to set up multiple shareholders and split rates.
3. Lease may be paid and renewed by any avatar. You may reserve or lock rental box for designated avatar.
4. Each rental box controls its own telepad, rental board, rental controller (i.e., security, multi-scene controller, and sensor). Fully integration specifically designed for your rental business.
5. Easy local access to Edit Mode manual with the optional Rental Server.
6. Smart resize feature or no resize at all to fit your business model - useful in a multi-scene setting.
7. Any future upgrade to your rental boxes is super easy: just drag and drop in the new rental box script, no setup and no deleting are required. Really! If you have the Machess rental server, then this task can be automated.

Touch the rental box to select the following functions from the menu. These features are only available for rental box owner.

1. "Connect" : To connect Machess Rental Controller within 20 m.

2. "Rental Info" : To display rental information including offset positioin, prims, minimum rental period, etc.

3. "Edit Mode" : Enter Edit Mode.

4. "Tenant info" : Display renter information

5. "Server key" : To display rental box UUID. You need this UUID to setup info board and telepad

6. "How To" : Display chat commands used in Edit Mode.

7. "Rating" : To set mature or PG rating of your rental place. This will only change the content of the waning message.

8. "Terminate" : Press this button to terminate the lease immediately. Click this button only when you test your rental equipment or you have to terminate one's lease contract.

The following features are available for everyone

9. "Hourly", "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly" : Switch the rental options to either hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly rate (available only when you have entered non-zero rental prices).

How to set up discount?

Discount can be set up via different rental options. For example if the rent is L$200/wk and you like to give away 1 week free rent for those who pay 3 weeks of rent, then

set weekly 200
set monthly 600

How rental period is calculated?
-----------------------------------
The lease is calculated based on the highest possible rental period. For example, if the daily rental price is $35/day and the weekly rent L$200/wk, a payment of $245 should be equal to 1 week plus 1 day with L$10 to be refunded to the renter. L$245 will not be counted as 7 days. To avoid this kind of extra charge, it is recommended to set minimum rental unit as 1.

Setup instructions
***************

1. Rez the telepad on the floor near the Rental Box that you want to connect to.
2. Open the content of the telepad. Replace line 4 on the notecard "setting" with the destination coordinate. (e.g., somewhere in your skybox).
3. Click on the Rental Box and select "Server key", and fill up line 8 with the key
4. You should see telepad has updated itself.
5. Pick up the telepad and then place it at the rental office.
6. When the telepad is placed in-world, you may reposition it and the telepad will remember this original location.

How telepad works
***************
1. When not rented, telepad is available to every avatar.
2. Sit to teleport to the destination. Touch to send the telepad back.
3. When rented, only tenant is allowed to access the telepad.
4. Tenant's name can be displayed in full or first letters only.
5. If rental box has been paired with Rental Controller (security system), tenant's guests will be able to use the telepad unless their name have been removed by the tenant.
6. Telepad now has a built-in surface finder, which will find its landing surface in the multi-scene setting!
