*** Do i have to turn AO OFF to use the typing book?
NO, the typing book is compatible with your AO. The writing animation only interact with your head, arms and hands. If you consider it does not fit your legs movements, well...turn ao off ;)
[EDIT 2020] Most AO have now a priority level that will force you to turn it OFF so please be aware of it before purchase&comment :)
*** I can't see my typing book and my feather pen, is it normal?
YES, they only appears while you're writing something in the local chat. If you don't touch your keyboard, nothing happens. it is the "Typing Object" concept ;)

Stupid Answer : Do you wear your Feather Pen? it won't work if you don't wear both...

Go to SL Menu Bar >> Edit >> Preferences
Select Text Chat >> Enable "Play typing animation when chatting"

I knew this typing book from years ago when i was a roleplayer. It was fun see it in use! I wanted to know now if script was active again. Well, it is necessary to turn AO off depending the one you wear but its's worth the price! Thank you Mae
Cute idea but . . .
It's peculiar, overall, and I will never use it. The book and pen are cute but are completely invisible when worn, until you start typing in the chat window, at which point the pen and book are suddenly there and then gone the second you stop. And rather than your avi looking as though she is writing with the pen, she looks to be typing with one hand while her eyes peer up in that creepy way they do when you use the "play typing animation when chatting" setting (which I normally never use).

good concept,bad when you type and hear the keyboard strokes,kills the fun of the book,i don't recommend this product.
nice but didn't work with Power AO
If i turn off my AO it worked perfect, is cute and a great AO but the Power AO overtake the animation so if it is on it stop the animation and you hold the book and Pen without the animation or in the worst case they swing around in cause of your AO Typing Animation. Or, you seen the book and the pen for a second and both disapear! and thats sad! because it is very smooch!
