Here's a must-have for any Chinese themed sim or decorative pond: A gaudy little Mandarin drake (that's "boy duck" to you non-farmers). He's a carefully edited photo of the real thing, on a 1-prim panel. It's scaled to look correct with the average human avatar.
As a symbol of conjugal happiness, these birds were commonly used to decorate Chinese wedding garments and gifts. The birds were also popular in Europe because they are just pretty. The imports were arriving as early as the 1700s, so they are legitimate in any post-medieval theme.

I could make this in Gimp in about 5 min.. just a texture with alpha.. I thought it was a model of a duck.. sheesh.
