It looks like a piece of modern art, yet this clock is extremely simple to read. The four separate fields act like the digits of a digital clock. The value of each digit is the number of illuminated squares (cells) in each field. The clock in the advertisement is displaying the time 19:55, or 7:55 PM.

These patterns change constantly, providing an unending parade of light and color. If you want even more variety, you can set the colors to random.

Setting it Up

For basic use, rez the clock somewhere and you're done. By default, the clock is set to display Second Life time in 24 hour format and works right out of the box. If you want to change the timezone, light colors, refresh speed, or 24-hour vs 12-hour time, edit the clock and double-click on the __config__ notecard which you'll find on the contents tab. Instructions for editing the card are contained within.

For the creative types, I've made this clock modifyable and completely customizable. Would you prefer 6 cells for the hours? Unlink one of the orange hour cells, make copies, then link them back to the clock. It will detect the new number automatically. The same is true for the other cells. I've included a larger version that displays seconds as well.

Love this clock! It's easy to set and read, and works very well in my sci-fi build. i have three copies out to denote different time zones. i would have one in my RL home if i could! Simple concept but really well executed! Get it now. :D
