Castle Features:

The castle has 2 scripts.
-> Back wall script rezzes a single (3 prim) wall ramp. If you want additional ramps, fool the script by taking the ramp into inventory or moving it outside the castle.

-> Fortified Gatehouse Arch - upper portion. Click to rez a smart RP-ready portcullis.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Portcullis (also sold separately) Features:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Besides resizing, there are 2 reasons to edit your portcullis: (1) Access rights and (2) to change the "strength" to suit your RP campaign to testing/demos. Note: if your portcullis is destroyed, you can rez a new one to replace it. If you purchased a Wild Style Prefabs Castle, click the top of the entry arch. The replacement will NOT have your previous setting changes.

ACCESS RIGHTS. To allow other people to control the portcullis besides the owner:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Drop a notecard into the portcullis with a list of avatar keys, one on each line, to allow those avatars to click open/closed the portcullis.
SET STRENGTH:
--------------------------------------------------------------
The portcullis will rez with maximum strength (10000). Use the [Object Description] field in the edit pane to set the STRENGTH (aka "Hit points") of the portcullis. The strength must be between 1 and 10000 or it will be ignored. Click the portcullis to have the new strength take effect.

What is "STRENGTH" or "Hit Points"? It's a measure of how much damage it can take.
How much damage is done by a hit? Read on...

Avatars can collide with the portcullis, and will do damage based on their velocity alone, unless they're walking, in which case damage is 1 hit point (consider it normal wear and tear, messing with nails, whittling "A+L" with a heart or something). Walking into the portcullis will not harm an avatar. However, the Portcullis will deal "sword" damage back to the avatar (GM / GLM / ML meter) if the avatar is moving faster than walking speed!

So, you can run headlong into the gate like a battering ram! In testing, a STRENGTH of 120 was enough to resist an avatar with GM meter (the avatar died in the test - very sad), but 100 is probably not enough to hold up. Also, avatars regenerate. Your portcullis will need to be raised to work on it. So, word to the wise, set the strength to at least 1000. That should make it useful in a concentrated attack, but not invulnerable.

Objects colliding with the portcullis will do damage based on their (mass) times (velocity squared). So, battering rams and catapults and arrows will do more damage than attacking by running into the portcullis!

Tested the L$1 "catapulta" on Marketplace (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/catapulta/1568980), and it does approximately 400 points of damage per hit.

Tested Wild Style Fashions Longbow (GM / GLM / DCS2 certified on several sims), and it did 7 points of damage per hit.

Damage percent is shown as hovertext over the portcullis. At intervals of 20% damage, the portcullis will SEND AN IM to the Owner of the portcullis, alerting the owner:

Portcullis: "We're under attack! Now at 20% damage!" etc.

When the portcullis is 100% damaged, it becomes a PHYSICAL prim (subject to physics behavior, like being pushable and falling over), and will wobble in place until it falls over. It also announces that it was destroyed in chat and in IM to Owner.

To read more about the portcullis, see that item on Marketplace, or visit our rez platform.
