Completely re-written from the ground-up, compared to my 1-prim script... But like that one, using this script is dead-easy. One copy of the script is placed in any prim and the textures are placed in the same prim. Clicking on that prim brings up a menu allowing you to change the texture on any prim in the object.

Includes 44 full-perm textures and instructions notecard.

If the script and texture are placed in the root prim, then the whole object becomes clickable instead of just the object containing the script.

The script works by displaying a dialogue with the names of all the prims. Users click the prim name and then select a texture. All prims with that name are then retextured. So for example, if you made a pair of shoes with laces, canvas, and eyelets, each piece of lace would have to be named "laces", the canvas pieces would be named "canvas" and the eyelets would be named "eyelets." Then the dialogue would apply your texture to all pieces with those names. When naming pieces, please bear in mind the button length on a standard dialog.

The script ignores any pieces named "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" so if you want to make "forbidden" prims, name them that.

At this time, all textures can be applied to all prims.

If you're using this script to texturize your own builds, you can safely remove the script and textures from your builds before selling. The textures will remain on the item.

Please note: this version of the script is intended to be packaged with your builds so your customers can change the items. By selling items containing this script, you agree to remove either copy or transfer rights for next owner.

History:
3.1: Fixed "forbidden prim" bug for name being too long.
3.0: Completely rewritten
< 3.0: Not released to public, versions not tracked

Had a few problems setting it with "forbidden" prims (the instuctions didnt work) but it was easy enough to figure out. But hey, it's only 5L, you aint going to get perfection for that. It does what it says on the tin, what more can you ask for!!

i followed the manual serveral times and tried to make it work linked / unlinked and so on ...
so suddenly it worked with the walls of my house and it has been well. then i added some textures more and also some new names (like wall, floor a.s.o.) and ... it stopped ???
i try to contact Mursaydees and hope there is a stupid fault by myself ... we will see
-----------------------
i am no newbie in building and i tried all i can ... the script works for a short moment, then nothing ... i called Mursaydees twice, maybe there is no one online ... i give up - only 1 star

i have tried numerous time to get this texture changer to work and still can't make it do what it is supposed to do. i have since bought a full featured system that does even more than i had planned, so this will be deleted, but for the price, people should at least give this one a try, maybe you can get it to do what you are looking for even though i couldnt.
