Better than expected
I didn't read the full description before buying this, I just wanted a good looking camera to mount on my wall to add to the scene. I didn't expect it to follow me or make lists of visitors for the price it is!
Really good value in my opinion, love that it follows you.
Perfect!
Exactly what I wanted. And very realistic. It is almost creepy the way it follows you when you get within range, like one of those paintings whose eyes seem to follow you across a room.
Very well done. The best CCTV camera I have been able to find, and I looked for a while...trying several. Also, very quick to respond when I had a question.
Thanks!!!!
Perfect, and here's why....
This camera is amazing, because it actually follows the avatars in that place (following the closest one) which feels actually scary :-) There is also a spy chat, which makes your local chat go double, but the creator was helpfull (within a few hours) to solve that. Great!
awesome
i just put up at my front door and its awesome so real :)
Excellent design, and exceptional service
Very detailed, and performs as advertised. A bit tricky to place, since the camera will move about as you position the prims, but it doesn't take much effort to get things properly lined up. If you place several cameras, it's a good idea to rename them so that when you use the "list" command, you know which camera is giving you information. I wish the range was configurable, but it's hardly a problem. I had an issue with the camera repeating everything said in open chat, which was quickly resolved by the builder, who communicates well, and obviously cares. At L$80, with the permissions allowing me to rez as many as I want, this is a great value.
Good item, but needs instructions
Since there are no instructions included in the purchase, or in the item listing. And several people have complained about this in other reviews and been ignored, i thought i'd let people know.
the commands are simply "help" "list" or "reset". I'm told something should have appeared in local chat when i rezzed the item, but nothing appeared. Either way, i wanted to offer a solution so you don't have to bother the seller.
It seems there is no way i can see to turn off the thing that repeats and messages you with everything said within the camera's range without doing the following, edit linked objects and click the camera part itself. There is a script inside called CS. Delete it. And reset scripts within the object. There's no way to simply switch it off or on, so this'll have to do. And it's easy enough.
To be honest this is all stuff that should have been in a notecard, or in the items description in this marketplace listing. I'm hoping my review will be of help to some people, because looking at the reviews, i'm hardly alone in my complaints. It's a good product that works, just a shame people asking for instructions in their reviews don't have responses people can read. Would have saved some time. Either way it's a good product, and the seller was helpful.
