Do you own a public sim or area and sometimes wish you could close it temporarily just for a short while for whatever reason?
-Maybe you want to do some maintenance or rebuilding without being disturbed but still want the place open to the public when you are not around.
-Maybe you want the place to yourself and a special someone just for an hour or two and then open it again after you’ve had your romantic rendezvous.
-Maybe you want to be alone and script or mesh and not be bothered until you’re finished.
-Or you just want to be by yourself to think and relax in a pretty environment undisturbed until you leave.
You could of course close the region and just not allow anyone on the parcel through parcel settings, but if you forget to re-open the place it could be closed for hours or even days until you come online again and realize your mistake.
Also you might not want to close off the entire parcel and creating a separate parcel seems a silly idea just to close off an area for a temporary amount of time, and if you don't own the land you can't do that anyway.
The parcel allow/ban lists also lacks the ability to select who is allowed onto the land at times of your choosing.
This device will let you temporarily close the area and send avatars home when you turn it on and it will automatically turn off when either you log off, leave the area or after a set time. Once off avatars will be allowed onto the parcel again.
Also with this device you can pick and choose who can be allowed on the parcel at certain times, and keep their name saved so you don’t have to continually search for their profile to add to the list.
It can also hold more than 300 names on the allow list if that’s something you really need.
With this device you can:
- Send avatars home who are within the parcel, all parcels owned the same avatar or group, region, or within a range
- Set how the kicker will switch off when not in use and allow avatars in area again. Either by when the owner logs out, leaves the region or after a certain amount of time.
- Send a notification to avatars who are sent home telling them why they were and to come back later.
- Receive a warning message when an avatar is sent home
- Create an always allowed list of avatars (set them as admins)
- Create a friends list to allows friends onto the land when the kicker is on
- Switch between who is allowed on the land when the kicker is on. You can either allow only yourself, or yourself and admins, or anyone on the friends / white list, or anyone wearing a group tag.
- Allow admins to switch on/off the kicker.
- Select who on your allowed lists can stay on the land at certain times.
