Wingsong Holodeck: Gone Fishin' Box

The Wingsong Holodeck - Gone Fishin' is a state of the art microcosm that puts you and your visitors into a mellow backwater spot where you can go fishing without ever leaving home. No, you won't catch any fish in this micro world. This is more about the TAO of fishing, not the CATCHING of said fish. This holodeck is all about the serenity that comes from sitting quietly on the water.

Facing one vortex out of which the world seems to be emerging with your back to another vortex where that world seems to be slipping into, you may well feel yourself being carried into infinity. No, you don't really go anywhere. You just FEEL like you do. You know, like a holodeck!

FEATURES

1 - The globe has a slow, relaxing texture animation engine in it that gives a very realistic impression of actual travel through space and time. Click on the globe to access one of 18 preinstalled skies for you to enjoy. You can also easily add your own (up to a total of 22) by dragging textures from your inventory into the globe's Content Tab through the Edit tool.

Click on the floor to access a menu for 6 textures; you can add additional ones as well (total 22 textures allowed). The floor also rotates very slightly - just enough to give you a sense of movement.

These textures provide a blend of realism and surrealism.

2 - To keep folks from falling out of their world, I have not checked the PHANTOM feature in the Edit tool. I found that placing my Wingsong Holodecks in space with teleporters (not included in this package) was more convenient.

3 - The globe is sized at 40 x 40 x 40. The floor is sized at 40 x 40 x 0.01. These can easily be resized down to VERY tiny, and up to 64 using your STRETCH feature in your Edit Tool. When resizing, be sure to use the EDIT LINK feature and resize only the globe and the floor. The linked chairs and pillows won't fit properly if you resize them.

4 - The fishing boat is embedded with authentic original Wingsong animations for your comfort and relaxation. To sit Right Click on boat and sit. Two people can fish at the same time.

5 - Because my Wingsong Holodecks are designed with a commitment for low prim usage without the use of rezzers, you can easily set out more than one (we make a whole line of holodecks available at our Marketplace store). This one clocks in at only 11 prims. I generally keep several holodecks stacked on top of one another way above the dojo. To visit them, come by the dojo and take the taxi teleporter located just to your left on the front deck.

6 - Touch the back part of your boat to hear a loud boat horn.

7 - Touch your front seat to toggle on and off a gentle rain shower (raindrops and sound!).

8 - Touch the back seat to select one of three water sounds from a menu.

9 - Touch the GONE FISHING sign on the back of your Wingsong Fishing Boat to toggle on and off 10 nature sounds that play randomly every 3 to 4 minutes (some seagulls, a duck, a couple of frogs, katydids, some crickets).

10 - Wingsong Cane Pole FREE (must be ADDED separately). This is a full perm version of our cane pole. Between the flexiness of the line and the very subtle movement of the right hand you will think that the fish are actually nibbling. Perhaps they are, who am I to say??

TO USE

REZ out your Wingsong Holodeck: Gone Fishin'. That's it! Of course, you can rez out additional seating for other visitors. Note - When you are first setting it up you may need to pan your camera into the globe and sit in your chair to get inside. Or you can set it to PHANTOM and just walk into it, but you'll need to put a nonphantom platform at about the level of the floor unless you place a teleporter inside.

ADD your pole and click on the boat to go fishing.

2 - Wingsong Beachball V4: Only 1 prim, it hosts a menu of 5 very relaxing ambient sounds (surf, brook, rain, frogs, crickets) can be turned on or off by touching the beachballs (Although they disappear while you are floating you can turn them on or off while you are floating by touching your stomach).

3 - Wingsong Fishing Crate: Only 2 prims, it is an excellent way to allow others to fish with you.

To use the beachballs and fishing crate, simply rez and position them wherever you like, adjust them about halfway submerged in the water and then "RELAX." Both are embedded with original Wingsong animations for great comfort.

Everything here is COPY/MOD so make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! I'm even throwing in a FREE Wingsong Modify Box, a simple, easy to use tutorial for folks with little experience in the EDIT tool.
