Wingsong Holodeck: Deserted Isle Box

Who among us has not dreamed of being on a deserted island? The Wingsong Holodeck - Deserted Isle is a fun microcosm that puts you and your visitors on that deserted island!

FEATURES

1 - The globe has a slow, relaxing texture animation engine in it that gives a very realistic impression of actual travel through space/time. Click on the globe to access one of 19 preinstalled skies. You can also easily add your own (up to a total of 22) by dragging textures from your inventory into the globe's Content Tab through the Edit tool.

2 - Click on the water to access a menu for 6 textures; you can add additional ones as well (total 22 textures allowed). The floor also rotates very slightly - just enough to give you a sense of movement.

3 - Click on the island to access a menu for 12 ground cover textures.

These textures provide a blend of realism and surrealism.

4 - To keep folks from falling out of their world, I have not checked the PHANTOM feature in the Edit tool. I found that placing my Wingsong Holodecks in space with teleporters (not included in this package) was more convenient.

5 - The globe is sized at 40 x 40 x 40. The floor is sized at 40 x 40 x 0.01. These can easily be resized down to VERY tiny, and up to 64 using your STRETCH feature in your Edit Tool. When resizing, be sure to use the EDIT LINK feature and resize only the globe and the floor. The linked chairs and pillows won't fit properly if you resize them.

6 - The 2 rocks are embedded with original Wingsong animations for your comfort and relaxation. To sit Right Click on a rock and sit.

7 - Because my Wingsong Holodecks are designed with a commitment for low prim usage without the use of rezzers, you can easily set out more than one (we make a whole line of holodecks available at our Marketplace store). This one clocks in at only 8 prims. I generally keep several holodecks stacked on top of one another way above the dojo. To visit them, come by the dojo and take the taxi teleporter located just to your left on the front deck.

8 - Touch the palm tree to toggle the sound of a surf off and on. And yes - the palm tree is more whimsical than realistic - the very kind of palm tree you'd expect to find from the Wingsong Dojo! Want a more realistic one? Check out the FREE bonuses below!

9 - Click on the gray rock to toggle random sounds of seagulls, katydids, and a frog played every 100 to 140 seconds.

10 - Touch the logs to emit an excellent fire with smoke. Hold down the left mouse button for a couple of seconds to access a menu with numerous options.

11 - The water splashes when you walk into it.

BONUSES:

1 - Wingsong Fishing Crate: Only 2 prims; sit on this for an original Wingsong animation that allows you to sit with or without a fishing pole.

2 - Wingsong Deserted Isle FREEBIES Distributor: Set this out to offer your visitors a FREE Wingsong Cane Pole so that they might enjoy fishing with you. The pole is so realistic you'll swear fish are biting. But no, you don't catch fish with you - you practice the TAO of fishing.

3 - Wingsong Beachball V4: Only 1 prim, it hosts a menu of 5 very relaxing ambient sounds (surf, brook, rain, frogs, crickets) can be turned on or off by touching the beachballs (Although they disappear while you are floating you can turn them on or off while you are floating by touching your stomach).

4 - For those who want a more realistic palm tree, I'm including a FREE Wingsong Palm Tree - this one is 3 prims and sways gently in the breeze.

TO USE

REZ out your Wingsong Holodeck: Deserted Isle. That's it! Of course, you can rez out additional seating for other visitors. Note - When you are first setting it up you may need to pan your camera into the globe and sit in your chair to get inside. Or you can set it to PHANTOM and just walk into it, but you'll need to put a nonphantom platform at about the level of the floor unless you place a teleporter inside.

To use the beachballs and fishing crate, simply rez and position them wherever you like, adjust them about halfway submerged in the water and then "RELAX." Both are embedded with original Wingsong animations for great comfort. ADD your pole and click on the crate to go fishing.

For additional swimming fun, get our Wingsong Rubber Duck REZ and/or our Wingsong Dober Dog Paddle, available separately at our Marketplace store. The rubber duck moves randomly and you swim alongside of it when you sit on it. The dober dog is a wearable and you swim together.

Everything here is COPY/MOD so make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! I'm even throwing in a FREE Wingsong Modify Box, a simple, easy to use tutorial for folks with little experience in the EDIT tool.
