If you've been following us here at the Wingsong Dojo (and by our calculations, at least 78 percent of all Second Life residents do!), you've noticed we do alot of traveling to bring you the highest quality of whimsical critters and companions, holiday doodads, gadgets, shoes and hats, and lots of vehicles. And a bunch of other things.

I'm teasing about how many residents follow us. It's really only 62 percent.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Anyway, back to my story, see. Well, years ago, when we were still wet behind the digital ears, we used to just take off in any old direction. We used to do alot of "puddle jumping," if you know what I mean. We took public transportation, red eye flights, hitchhiked, hopped alot of trains, and stowed away in some rather shabby boats just to get where we wanted to go. One of our staff members even hijacked a rickashaw in a little mountain village once. He got about 12 miles before the women of the village attacked him with bamboo rods.

I recollect he came home empty handed that trip.

Alot of times we didn't even KNOW where we wanted to go! And alot of times we didn't have much say in the matter. I mean, it's just not kosher to go to the captain of the rusted old frigate you sneaked on last night and suggest he turn 42 degrees north so that you can get home for Thanksgiving.

I did that once. I spent Thanksgiving on an island in the South Pacific.

Anyway, in those years since we came to the mystical lands of Second Life we've developed many fine, fanciful forms of transportation: planes, trains, and automobiles, and also boats, bikes, balloons, buggies, and segs, skis, skates, of course. And wagons. Not to mention our stables full of wearable critters that we ride everywhere. Heck, our feet seldom touch the ground!

Still, we found ourselves getting LOST alot because while we loved to travel we didn't know much about the world we lived in. SO:

Touch the surface of the globe to change to one of the 9 main planets (including Pluto - I'm old school!), the moon, and the sun. Note: the globes don't change sizes; this is the only geologically challenged quality about the globes.

It rotates slowly around an axis.

Your Wingsong Library Globe is COPY/MOD, so make all the copies you want and resize! Don't mess with the texture integers - you're liable to throw off the precise fine tuning I did to make them as accurate as possible.

For questions or a live demonstration of this or any of our fine/fun Wingsong products, IM Kit Ciaco!

Note: The library and furnishings seen in these pictures is made by Wingsong. These are available separately through the SL Marketplace as whole or by components.
