OVERVIEW:
Stopping power. There's nothing like tagging your target, just to see it get back up again. You need something big, heavy, and permanent. That's where the FAL-PARA comes in. With its heavy caliber and staggering rate of fire, the FAL-PARA is sure to put you foes down for good.
BACK STORY:
"Every sound we made, every footstep, every breath, was one more thing that could draw them to our position. I had slipped the bayonet onto my rifle, but even using the blade would likely cause enough commotion to bring the whole group of them down on us. We were fifty feet from the opening when there was a snap like the crack of a whip. Rook had stepped on a twig, and I had just enough time to see the color drain from his face before they descended on us. In that narrow corridor, we were trapped like rats. Our cover was blown, so I opened up with a deafening salvo of fully automatic fire as we ran backwards towards the exit. Round after round went crashing through the air, the shockwaves rippling and reverberating off the walls and drowning out every coherent thought I had. As fate would have it, the cramped space was far more deadly for our adversaries than for us. As they stumbled over one another, the heavy rifle rounds tore through scores of them at a time. By the time we'd passed the end of the corridor, every last one of them laid dead."
CONTROLS
Weapon uses standard mouselook controls with arrow keys. Rifle is fully select-fire, (semi, auto, and burst). Upon emptying the magazine, click again to reload, or use the reload gesture. You'll also need to reload in order to swap ammo types. Firing continuously will degrade accuracy, pausing fire will gradually return accuracy to normal. Various attachments will affect performance aspects such as reload time, accuracy, and special abilities.
A number of quick keys are built into the weapon controls. Pressing left and right simultaneously will reload. Pressing forward and backward simultaneously will melee (without the launcher attached) or fire the under-slung launcher (when it is attached). Firing the launcher when it is empty will reload it. You cannot fire or reload the rifle while reloading the grenade launcher.

TECH SPECS
Full select-fire: auto, semi, 3-round burst, 5-round burst
Anim overrider with 20 custom animations
Variable firing rate, ~500 to ~1000 RPM, default 900.
1.6 to 3.0 second reload time based on magazine/ round in chamber
3.5 second grenade reload time
5 Primary scripts, 160kb total script memory.
Muzzle velocity varies with ammo, min of 150, max of instantaneous travel, standard 196.
OTHER SPECS TO NOTE
-Shell ejection and muzzle effects are particle-based, to minimize server impact while keeping a high degree of realism
-Burst fire modes do not fire all the rounds per click. Rather, they work just like their real-life counterparts, allowing up to a certain number of rounds to be fired in full auto before forcing the player to release the trigger and pull it again to fire another burst. Releasing early will only fire some of the max number of rounds per burst. This allows the player to fan the burst fire just like on a real select-fire weapon.
- Ultra-detailed, 100% Mesh build
- Hyper-optimized scripts for top performance
- Automatic, no-hassle updates, for free
- Animation override with over 20 custom animations
- Intuitive and highly customisable user settings
Great detail, but some issues.
This weapon was just about everything I wanted in an FAL. Functionally, it's pretty good and has a ton of features. Where it falls short are the animations. The ones for weapon function are pretty good except the running animation seems oddly slow, and the idle animation really just looks like crap. I wanted to use a separate tactical AO with it to bypass this issue, but you can't turn this weapon's animations off. Reached out to the creator a long time ago and never heard anything. It's a shame, because it really is a cool weapon.
Bad @$$!
This is an awesome solid rifle, decent customization, good model, shoots well. I really recommend this rifle for anyone looking for a post apocalyptic looking weapon or a mercenary firearm. Works great with the sidearms from the same store and the gestures let you switch between primary and secondary on a fly. So much for such a decent price with so many other weapons going for 600L and up.
One of the best guns in SL ewar.
Low-lag, awesome model, many attachments and skins, realistic visual effects and more and more - absolutely win! I like this gun!
This right here... this is *my* weapon.
TLDR: Good gun, looks pretty, nice animations, lots of choices to customize, good for roleplay and fantastic in combat, doesn't lag much at all.
Whenever I go into combat, this is, by standard, my primary. It has the flexibility I love, the low-lag I need, and the performance quality I desire. If you're ever looking for a solid, dependable standard infantry rifle, look no further. This weapon comes with its own animation override that, while it won't work with *all* female avatars, it should work with most. If you want it for roleplay, this gun can serve that role. If you need it in combat, trust me when I say that this thing does a good job, and looks sexy while it's at it (if you want it to). Now, onto the actual functions!
Bullets: It slings 'em. Overall, I can't argue about its accuracy, reload times, or damage potential. You have regular bullets, you get ones with tracers, and you even get the lovely Raycast rounds, which instantly impact within 200 meters and only within the same sim.
The Grenades: I'll start by saying that when you fire a grenade, you have to MANUALLY reload the launcher, and you cannot fire anything else with the gun until you finish doing so. HOWEVER, you CAN still use the melee while you reload (this goes for the bullet-related magazines too, just so you know), so I suggest you get good cover between shots.
The Melee: I have to put this in specifically because this weapon has built-in melee, which not many have. It works damn well, and yes, the Bayonet actually extends the range and slightly increases the speed at which you can violently prod people. However, I don't suggest poking at vehicles. Seriously, it's silly.
All Z-Day weaponry is designed to function at peak efficiency and within the rules of Combat Continent, so I figure they ought to be allowed just about anywhere you'd want to use them. If you ever have a problem with your Z-DAY product, I highly suggest just talking to Dreizehn Kozlov. He *will* help you.
Amazing weapon ! ... just not for me
So i own ALL of Z-days guns and they all share one thing in common...they don't have female animations ... so buy this gun ! if you are a male, the animations look kind of wonky on a female
also this is just a personal thing for me but uh ...I have shot a FN FAL and this thing sounds nothing like it, I really wish it had better sounds. also why do none of Z-days guns have muzzle flash ?
Z-day still makes some amazing fire arms, this one dose only get a 4 star rating but to me that is because of the god awful sound they used ( if you want to hear it go pick up their free rifle and fire it ...it uses the same sounds) all in all for me this gun is only a 4 star, to some it might be more, but to me the sound is the main deal braker. if that gets updated then this gun might just be 5 star material !
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
THIS GUN!!! brought freaking tears of joy to my eyes! there has never been a better taped up apocalyptic mesh rifle in the history of SL! i only wish i had the side arm for it... that would make my day!!!
